Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 has officially premiered on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161), lighting up screens across the country on Sunday evening.
This season comes with a fresh twist that has already stirred excitement, as several former housemates will be given a chance to compete.
Season 6 introduces a powerful new theme, “Bazozwa”, meaning reclaiming space and making noise. It’s a clear warning that this year’s housemates are not here to play small.
Meet some of the new housemates:
Kicking things off is 27-year-old Koki from Carletonville, Gauteng. If she walks away with Biggie’s R2 million prize, she already knows what’s first on her list: a serious sneaker shopping spree.

Next up is 32-year-old Lawredo from Mahikeng (Maftown) in the North West. Confident and outspoken, he’s ready to make a bold statement inside the house.

Neliswa, 30, from Cape Town, describes herself as bold, unapologetic and fearless. She believes her strong personality and daring fashion sense will set her apart.

Meet Thandeka from KwaZulu-Natal, who spent eight years living in Italy and believes her international experience has shaped her into a strong and adaptable competitor.

From Mamelodi in Pretoria comes Ofentse, also known as Mfana ko Mamelodi. He says he’s multifaceted and promises to bring nothing but vibes to Biggie’s house.

Another housemate from the North West, Didintle, says fame is her destiny and that she was simply born for this moment.

Mashel, also from the North West, proudly declares his obsession with Lekompo music and plans to bring that energy into the house.

Then there’s Ramona, affectionately calling herself the “mother of the house,” who says she has been waiting for this opportunity her entire life.

Four former housemates also made it to Big Brother’s house this season. With bold personalities, big dreams and a R2 million prize on the line, Season 6 promises nothing short of fireworks.
Fans can catch all the action as it unfolds 24/7 on DStv channel 198, as the housemates battle it out to make their mark and prove that Bazozwa.
