Big Brother in last-minute show shake up after George is booted out of house for ‘unacceptable comments’

BIG Brother has been forced into a last-minute shake-up after housemate George Gilbert was removed from the house.

ITV took the decision to eject the contestant after repeated “offensive” comments.

Friday’s eviction vote has been closed and will be re-opened later this week[/caption]

However, it has forced the show into a last-minute shake-up as the housemate was facing potential eviction from the house on Friday.

The vote opened during last night’s highlights show on ITV2 with George one of four stars facing potential eviction.

As well as the now axed housemate, Elsa, Cameron B and Richard also faced the public vote.

Now, the vote has been closed with all previous votes cancelled.

In a statement shared online, the Big Brother team revealed: “George has left the Big Brother house, so the vote has been closed.

“Your previous votes won’t count, but a new vote with Cameron B, Elsa and Richard will open tomorrow and you will get 5 more votes.”

Further details are expected to be revealed on tonight’s edition of Late and Live.

It was confirmed earlier today that George had been BOOTED from the house for ‘unacceptable language and behaviour’.

The 23-year-old was pulled from the show and won’t be returning, ITV confirmed.

Big Brother spokesperson told The Sun: “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.”

The housemate already received a formal warning for his language earlier in the week, which was broadcast as part of Monday’s episode.

It is understood that a number of other instances have seen the housemate spoken to by Big Brother but have not been broadcast as a result of going against broadcasting standards.

This is also the case with tonight’s episode which will feature George before his ejection from the programme, but fans won’t be able to see the comments that got him the boot.
