But thankfully, one Christmas fan has shared a bargain buy from B&M that’ll instantly make you toasty.

And perhaps the best part of all? It costs just £4.

Taking to TikTok (@cosy.christmas.everyday), the social media user posted a video sharing a selection of girlie stocking filler ideas they spotted during a recent trip to B&M.

In the video, she begins by holding up ‘a tale of tails hand warmers‘ to the camera, which would make the perfect gift for the upcoming chillier seasons.

Available in both a dog and cat designs, the online product description reads: “Stay warm, cute, and cosy with these A Tale of Tails Hand Warmers.

“The perfect winter accessory for animal lovers!”

Not only are they a great choice for those cold autumn walks, they’re also ideal for snuggly nights in on the sofa.

Simply place one in each had and settle down to watch the latest series you’re binging on.

Amongst the other festive stocking filler ideas include a 2-piece spa set, which retails at £3, Profusion Brush Vault, priced at £10, Glow Studio set for £4 which includes 2 face masks and a scrub, and a £5 Disney Stitch-inspired hair set.

And for the bath lovers amongst us, B&M are also selling a £2.50 Wicked-inspired bath fizzer, £4 Mermaid bath bombs and a 3-piece Fizzy Dips bath set for £2.

People were delighted with the bargain gift suggestions, with one writing: “Great Christmas idea!”

A second added: “I’d buy most of this for myself.”

5 ways to keep your house warm in winter

Property expert Joshua Houston shared his tips.

1. Curtains

“Windows are a common place for the outside cold to get into your home, this is because of small gaps that can let in air so always close your curtains as soon as it gets dark,” he said.

This simple method gives you an extra layer of warmth as it can provide a kind of “insulation” between your window and curtain.

2. Rugs

“Your floor is another area of your home where heat can be lost and can make your home feel chilly,” he continued. “You might notice on cold days, that your floor is not nice to walk on due to it freezing your feet.

“Add rugs to areas that don’t already have a carpet, this provides a layer of insulation between your bare floor and the room above.”

3. Check your insulation

Check your pipes, loft space, crawlspaces and underneath floorboards.

“Loose-fill insulation is very good for this, and is a more affordable type of insulation, with a big bag being able to be picked up for around £30,” Joshua explained.

4. Keep your internal doors closed

“Household members often gather in one room in the evening, and this is usually either the kitchen or living room,” Joshua said.

“This means you only have to heat a small area of your home, and closing the doors keeps the heat in and the cold out.”

5. Block drafts

Don’t forget to check cat flaps, chimneys and letterboxes, as they can let in cold air if they aren’t secure.

We previously told how the bargain retailer is also stocking a handy 69p gadget – the ‘Kool Pak Hand Warmers.’

Each pack comes with two hand warmers, which are air-activated and require no batteries, and provide up to 10 hours of warmth.

But there is one negative to consider – the hand warmers are single-use and disposable.

If however, you’d rather something that’s more sustainable and a little pricier, then there are several different reusable hand warmers on Amazon.

There are also a whole host of other things you can do to heat up without turning on your thermostat, including everything from wearing extra layers to using a hot water bottle.

And one product from The Range, will boost your home’s insulation, keeping it nice and toasty, for no extra cost.

Priced at just £10.99, the ‘Dreamscene Pencil Pleat Blackout Pair Of Thermal Curtains’, take just minutes to install.

The multiple layers of dense fabric works by trapping heating inside your home, effectively helping to reduce drafts and acting as an insulator.

‘I saw him riding his horses’ – Christian Horner’s friend speaks out on ‘wrong’ Red Bull exit and his time away from F1

CHRISTIAN HORNER’s exit from Red Bull Racing has been slammed as wrong by his pal Riccardo Patrese.

The six-time F1 Grand Prix winner has insisted that the former team principal is “relaxed” despite his exit.

Riccardo Patrese has spoken about Horner’s exit[/caption]

Horner, 51, was axed by Red Bull Racing after 20 years of service and 14 drivers’ and constructors’ titles.

He did receive a huge payout from the F1 team of £80MILLION as his contract was cut five years short.

Patrese, however, has insisted that Horner is taking his new free time in his stride.

He was the runner-up to the 1992 World Championship while racing with Williams.

He admitted he is not sure if Horner will return to the sport despite speculation he could be back on the grid in some respect.

He told Escapist Magazine: “I’m happy for him because I’m a friend of Christian.

“What happened to him last year was wrong. His private life is his private life.

“I think he was treated badly and at the end he got a lot of money.

“Now probably, he’s having a little bit of time to relax at home. I saw him riding his horses.

“I think it’s good for him that he could have so much money and I think he’s a very capable person, that’s for sure.

“It’s up to him if he finds another F1 job, and whether he will come back or not.”

Horner’s exit came after a tricky 18 months which saw him face allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

He had denied all accusations and was cleared twice in internal investigations.

It also saw Red Bull Racing’s performances on the track start to stall.

Horner has been linked with moves with Aston Martin, Alpine and Ferrari since his sacking.

It has been confirmed by Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu that Horner held talks about joining the team.

Proud dad Lewis Moody watches son Dylan save penalty for England Under-18s just days after revealing MND diagnosis

PROUD dad Lewis Moody watched his son Dylan save a penalty for England – days after revealing his motor neurone disease diagnosis.

The former England rugby star bravely opened up on his shock health update this week.

Moody, 47, broke down in tears telling the BBC that medical tests showed he had MND.

The 2003 Rugby World Cup winner and former England captain did the interview alongside wife Annie.

The couple – married in June 2006 – have two sons together.

And it is Dylan making his way as an international sportsman – in a different sport from his father.

The 17-year-old is a goalkeeper, signing his first professional contract with Southampton in July.

He is also part of the Youth Lions set-up, making his Under-18s debut in September.

And Moody Jr came off the bench in Thursday’s 1-0 win over France at St George’s Park.

The Saints youngster replaced Aston Villa’s Owen Asemota after 63 minutes.

And his dad saw him keep a clean sheet as Matthew Upson’s son Elijah headed in a dramatic 96th-minute winner for England, who also had Emile Heskey’s son Reigan in Neil Ryan’s team.

It appears the two teams played a practice penalty shootout as part of their preparations for November’s U17 World Cup, which this team will play in after qualifying last season.

But Moody produced the goods, flinging himself to the left to make a fine save from a spot-kick.

Moody Sr took to Instagram with two wholesome posts about Dylan.

The first was a clip of the penalty save, captioned: “Great night watching this rather large legend.”

And the second was a picture of the father and son smiling together for a photo, with Dylan – who is unbeaten in four Premier League 2 matches this season – still in his green goalie kit.

Moody wrote: “Wonderful night at St George’s Park watching England U18 and this little warrior @dylanmoody.1.”

The post prompted various replies from fans and followers.

Gabby Logan commented with praising hands emojis while cricketer Jonny Bairstow wrote: “Special.”

‘IT’S SO STRANGE’

The Moody family have been sent widespread support from the sporting community since Lewis went public about having MND.

Speaking during the interview, the former Leicester Tigers hero explained how they broke the sad news to their teenage kids.

Moody said: “We sat on the couch in tears, Ethan and Dylan both wrapped up in each other, then the dog jumped over and started licking the tears off our faces, which was rather silly.

“You’re given this diagnosis of MND and we’re rightly quite emotional about it, but it’s so strange because I feel like nothing’s wrong.

“I don’t feel ill. I don’t feel unwell. My symptoms are very minor. I have a bit of muscle wasting in the hand and the shoulder.

“I’m still capable of doing anything and everything. And hopefully that will continue for as long as is possible.”

Maggot-infested bodies, needles sticking out of toys & the WORST bathrooms… my life as a crime scene cleaner

GAZING around the farmhouse kitchen in my hazmat suit and gloves, I could barely see the floors or walls for stinking piles of rubbish and rotten food.

The smell of rat urine was overwhelming and there were droppings everywhere.

The owner of the house had been burgled, but the property was in such disrepair, he couldn’t tell what had been stolen.

My biohazard cleaning company was called in to help.

Most people would have turned and run, but I couldn’t wait to get stuck in.

That was a five-day job, with the owner helping us clear the mess into skips, while watching out for any resident rats.

It made me feel sad knowing he was living like that, but having seen many hoarders’ houses, I empathised.

After our clear-up, the owner realised a couple of items had been taken, including his grandma’s folding clock.

He was so grateful to us and we left exhausted, but satisfied we’d been able to restore some normality to his life.

I set up my cleaning company in 2022.

With just £5 in my account, I could only afford a couple of spray bottles of cleaner, but now I employ 50 people.

In May 2024, I was able to buy my first home, where I live with my partner Ryan, 25, and our two dogs.

I haven’t always been a successful entrepreneur, though.

Aged 20, I was homeless and living in my car, after becoming addicted to drugs, which I started taking after the death of a close family member caused my mental health to deteriorate.

I’d always liked cleaning. It helped turn off the noise in my head and, one day, I decided to put up an ad on Facebook offering cleaning services.

I built up a list of clients, and staying busy kept me away from drugs.

Within days, I was so booked up, I needed to take on staff.

Six months later, I found a biohazard cleaning course online, which my team and I signed up for.

‘EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED’

We now have a special licence to do biohazard cleans.

Every day is different in my job – I’ve learned to expect the unexpected.

My company, Sleek Easy Clean Ltd, deals with everything from cleaning up murder scenes following a police investigation to hoarding and clearing areas of used needles.

Some jobs stand out in my memory, like the woman whose toilet had been broken for two years, and who, instead of getting it fixed, had used her bath as a loo.

She contacted me through TikTok after realising she just couldn’t live that way any more.

The smell was so bad, I felt nauseous.

Once the toilet was repaired, I had to scoop the poo into the toilet using a bucket and flush it away, before disinfecting everything, which took two hours.

Another job I’ll always remember is a clean we did for a social housing company, where we found drug needles sticking out of the children’s cuddly toys.

I can relate to clients whose lives have spiralled, and I don’t judge them

Laura Summers

That was a difficult one, as was one of the first murder scenes I attended.

There was blood everywhere, from the ceiling to the cupboards, and it was pooled on the floor.

I can relate to clients whose lives have spiralled, and I don’t judge them.

As well as deep-cleans, we offer building work and provide support with a listening ear or by referring them to professional help.

Though I love my job, it’s incredibly tiring.

I work 14-hour days, six-and-a-half days a week, often witnessing traumatic scenes

If a body has been left for weeks and it’s decomposed, there will be maggots and flies.

They can also explode if gases have no way of leaving the body.

And suicide scenes are always upsetting.

People ask me: ‘How do you do your job?’

I don’t think they believe me when I insist I love it.

Cleaning is my therapy, and turning the chaotic and filthy into safe, sparkling and organised is all I want to do.

Do I clean my own home? No, I don’t have the time, so one of my team comes once a week to do it!”
