Swinging ‘saved our marriage’ after we were ‘struggling’ – it’s ‘what we’d been missing from our life’ the whole time

AFTER going through a rough time in their relationship, one couple thought their marriage was heading for divorce.

However, they soon discovered how an unusual pastime could not only save them but lead to a stronger union than ever.

Jem Jones, 44, and her husband, Daz, 41, first met on Tinder in 2015 and formed an instant connection.

They went on to marry and start a family, even starting a contracting business together in 2021.

However, the pressures of becoming business partners soon took a toll on their relationship.

“We were starting a new business and we just got totally caught up in business life and the stress of it all and we just had no time for each other,” Jaz explained on the Wanderlust Swingers podcast.

“We were in a bad place and nearly split up, we thought it was nearly the end.”

Reconnection

The couple, who had taken up swinging after five years together before it “took a backseat” decided to reintroduce it to their relationship.

And now they credit the lifestyle with saving their relationship.

“We just reconnected and we [said] ‘this is what we’ve been missing from our life,'” said Jaz, who hails from Bournemouth, Dorset.

Daz added that attending their first swingers event after returning to the lifestyle helped them to improve their communication.

He explained that talking through their feelings around swinging helped them to create an open dialogue about everything from parenting their children to household chores.

The couple soon realised that swinging was a vital element to them enjoying their life together.

And Jem clarified that the pair do not just look to have sex with people and enjoy doing on dates as a couple.

Helping others

Now they “give back” and help other couples in the bedroom, providing guidance on the swinging community if it’s something those they are helping feel open to.

“We want to tell people — this works for us and it could work for you too,” Jem, an accredited coach, explained.

However, she added that couples don’t have to go down the swinging route.

What is Swinging?

SWINGING, also known as partner swapping, is a sexual activity where partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with other people.

All parties involved must give explicit and enthusiastic consent.

Open and honest communication between partners is crucial.

Many swingers engage with a community or attend events specifically for swinging.

Such activity can enhance intimacy and trust within the primary relationship.

It provides an opportunity to explore sexual fantasies and desires.

But it is not suitable for every relationship and requires a strong foundation of trust.

Jealousy and emotional challenges may arise and need to be managed.

She pointed out that their are many ways to reconnect, including simply discussing bedroom fantasies with each other.

“This is a journey to be explored — everyone has their own levels,” Daz said.

“You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.”

Jem said: “The key is to keep talking about it.”

More on swinging

And a look inside the world’s raciest holidays from naked foam parties to an outrageous “sex cruise”.

One couple broke down how expensive and strict their swinging lifestyle is.

Plus, a man has explained why he enjoys hearing his wife sleep with his best mate.

Another swinging couple revealed the most common misconceptions about the lifestyle.

And a couple who discovered swinging after infidelity almost ruined their relationship.

Luigi Mangione trial in jeopardy as new claim threatens to throw out key evidence & drop charges against ‘CEO assassin’

LUIGI Mangione, the man accused of assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has made a new claim that could spare him the death penalty.

The latest allegations made by his lawyers threaten to see federal charges against him dropped and key evidence dismissed from his upcoming trial.

It comes just weeks after two terror-related charges in his New York state case were dismissed by a judge after Mangione’s legal team argued that in the state of New York, terrorism is an attack on multiple people not one person.

In the New York case, he still faces a second-degree murder charge which could get him life in prison, but he also has two other cases in Pennsylvania as well as another with federal prosecutors seeking the death penalty.

The 27-year-old from Maryland was arrested last year after a five-day manhunt for the masked shooter who gunned down Thompson in broad daylight on a New York City sidewalk on December 4.

On Saturday, his lawyers called on a New York federal judge to drop some of the criminal charges against him, including the single one he faces that could see him get the death penalty if found guilty.

They filed papers in Manhattan federal court claiming that the prosecution should not be allowed to use any statements Mangione gave to law enforcement after his arrest when he goes to trial.

This is because they say he was not read his rights before being questioned.

They further claim that officers failed to get a search warrant before going through his backpack where they allegedly discovered ammunition and a firearm.

In their indictment of Mangione, federal prosecutors charged him under a statute that allows capital punishment for those convicted of murder with the use of a firearm in furtherance of another violent crime.

However, Mangione’s lawyers argue that the statute is not applicable to his case as the crime of stalking, which he is also accused of, is not “a crime of violence” and does not fulfil the requirements for conviction.

It comes just a month after they initially called to have all federal charges against their client dropped due to comments about the case made by US Attorney General Pam Bondi and New York Mayor Eric Adams.

In April, Bondi publicly instructed federal prosecutors to pursue capital punishment in the case calling Thompson’s murder a “premeditated, cold-blooded assassination that shocked America”.

Such comments in the public sphere have prejudiced the case and will unfairly impact the trial, Mangione’s legal team claim.

“She assured the country, including the grand jurors, that she gave the matter ‘careful consideration’ and that her expert opinion, as the head of the Department of Justice and nation’s highest ranking law enforcement officer, was that Mangione warranted execution,” they claimed.

They added that any potential jurors have been “imprinted with a scene out of a Marvel movie befitting a captured cartel chief or comic book villain”.

Timeline of Brian Thompson's murder

BRIAN Thompson, the 50-year-old CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was shot to death in Manhattan in an execution-like killing.

Here is everything we know about Thompson’s murder so far.

Monday, December 2Thompson travels from his home in Minnesota to New York City for an investor conference in Midtown Manhattan.

Wednesday, December 4, 6:45 am – Thompson walks from his hotel across the street to the New York Hilton Midtown and is murdered by a masked shooter. The execution was caught on surveillance, and the suspect was seen biking away toward Central Park. Cops spark a citywide search for the assassin.

11:30 am – Cops released disturbing images of the execution, offered a reward for information, and made a desperate plea for New Yorkers to keep their eyes out.

12:00 pm – Thompson’s estranged wife Paulette revealed her husband had been threatened before he was shot.

2:45 pm – Cops released more eerie images of the suspect ordering at Starbucks that partially revealed his face. The U.S. Sun confirmed the coffee shop was just two blocks away from the shooting, but it’s unclear when he stopped by.

December 5, 6 am – Reports claim the words “deny,” “dispose,” and “defend” were engraved on live rounds and shell casings left behind by the assassin. These words echo the book Delay, Deny, Defend, which is about the failings of the healthcare industry. The author of the book had no comment on the reports.

8 am– Cops raid a hostel in the Upper West Side of New York City where the suspect is said to have stayed. It’s believed he wore a mask for most of the time he was there.

11 am – A person of interest in Thompson’s murder is pictured. He’s wearing a hood in the photo, but his full face could be seen breaking into a beaming grin. Still, no arrests have been made in the investigation.

Afternoon – Law enforcement confirms the suspect arrived in New York City on a Greyhound bus on November 24. It’s also confirmed that the suspect dropped a burner cell phone near the scene of the shooting.

December 6, 3 pm – Police announce they believe the killer has left New York City via interstate bus. They release more surveillance footage that shows him taking a taxi to the George Washington Bridge Bus Station.

December 9 – Luigi Mangione, 26, is arrested as a “strong person of interest” at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He was carrying a three-page manifesto, fake IDs, and a gun similar to the one used in Thompson’s murder.

Speaking of both Bondi and Adams’ public comments, the defense claimed that “with every press conference concerning Mr. Mangione, there was no mention of his presumption of innocence or his right to due process.”

The alleged assassin has pleaded not guilty to all state and federal charges against him.

He has been held without bail since his arrest.

A ruling on the latest motions by Mangione’s lawyers is yet to be made.

Prosecutors have until October 31 to respond and he is set to appear in court for the federal case on December 5.

In New York Mangione faces:

  • One count of Second-Degree Murder
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree
  • Four counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree
  • One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree
  • One count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree

Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania he faces charges of:

  • Forgery
  • Carrying a firearm without a license
  • Tampering with records or identification
  • Possessing instruments of a crime and false identification

How Swedish gangs are spilling blood in Spain hols hotspot and using child assassins to ‘order rival murders like pizza’

AS tourists sip cocktails in Spain’s picturesque coastal towns, hitmen as young as 17 are being flown in to unleash blood-soaked mayhem.

Violent Swedish gangs are flocking to sunny European hotspots for deadly working holidays to soak up the sun and sea – while carrying out brutal executions in broad daylight.

Gangsters from Nordic countries, as well as Britain and Turkey, are increasingly basing themselves on the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, creating a volatile “criminal ecosystem”.

Teen hitmen as young as 15 are being flown in to carry out assassinations, as crime bosses take advantage of their rivals, “letting their guard down” while enjoying the Spanish sun.

Cops revealed that one 15-year-old Swedish national living in Alicante was “ordering murderers like someone orders a pizza” – luring other teenagers into brutal executions using aliases on Telegram and Signal.

It comes after Hamza Karimi, 25, was gunned down in front of shocked holidaymakers while enjoying some downtime in Marbella’s Puerto Banus earlier this month.

The Swedish “gangsta rap” artist, who went by the name Hamko, was talking on his phone outside a cafe when a suspected hitman calmly walked up to him and pulled out a gun.

The shooter, a 38-year-old Afghan-born Swede, fired up to a dozen rounds, with CCTV footage showing Karimi rolling on the floor in a bid to dodge the bullets.

He was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.

His death is just the latest in a string of brazen gangland murders this year.

Marilo Valencia, spokeswoman for the Reformist Police Union, said this week: “Many of the gangsters come here, some to work, others simply to enjoy themselves.

“But when their enemies lower their guard, when they relax, the hitmen strike.”

Valencia branded it a “criminal ecosystem”, where each network has a role, be it transport, logistics or recruitment.

“They complement each other,” she said.

“They’re part of an ecosystem of crime.”

However, she warned that police resources are not keeping up with the growing criminal activity.

“The criminals know our situation,” she added.

“They know we don’t clock off. We’re police officers 24 hours a day. But we need more manpower; the pressure never stops.”

The hitmen don’t live here. They arrive, carry out the job, and disappear

Another investigator said: “They live peacefully, even cordially, as long as no one tries to take over another’s business.

“They move in the same circles, the same bars. They’re drawn together like magnets.”

“Irishmen go to Irish bars, Scandinavians to theirs – they feel untouchable,” a third source said.

“The hitmen don’t live here. They arrive, carry out the job, and disappear.”

Settling old scores

Police sources believe Hamko’s killing may be linked to infighting between rival Swedish gangs now operating in Spain.

The groups are believed to be bringing over their business models and vendettas from Stockholm, and are finding the Costa del Sol is the perfect place for both leisure and business.

“These aren’t local feuds,” said one officer.

“They come for a few days, relax… and use that time to settle old scores. It’s the only moment their enemies let their guard down.

“The wars may start abroad, but the executions happen here.”

Sweden has been gripped by gang violence for years, and in 2023 recorded one of the highest numbers of gun deaths in Europe.

Rawa Majid, a Swedish-Kurdish crime boss better known as The Kurdish Fox, leads the feared Foxtrot Network from his base in Turkey.

Foxtrot are said to be expert drug traffickers and money launderers and are brutal when it comes to enforcement.

Among Majid’s most trusted associates was Ismail Abdo, until he split from Foxtrot and set up his own clan, called Rumba, in 2023.

That same year, his mother was murdered in her home in Uppsala, Sweden, in a hit that cops believe was ordered by Foxtrot.

The killing sparked a cycle of tit-for-tat shootings and bombings that have killed dozens, including innocent bystanders, one being a 12-year-old girl who was killed by a stray bullet that was intended for two other gang members.

The rivalry continues to this day and is behind acts of serious violence between Swedish clans both at home and abroad.

The assassination of Karimi, in Marbella, topped off one of the bloodiest summers on Spain’s costas for years.

In April, a British 32-year-old with links to organised crime was assassinated in broad daylight while walking home from a football match in nearby Mijas.

He ordered murderers like someone orders a pizza

Police officer

Two months later, in June, two Scottish mob bosses were assassinated at an Irish pub in the neighbouring town of Fuengirola, reportedly as part of an ongoing drugs war in Glasgow.

Ross Monaghan, 43, and Eddie Lyons Jr, 46, were gunned down after they’d watched the Champions League final at Monaghan’s bar.

The Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca also became a battleground for two of Turkey’s most feared drug factions – the Daltons and Caspers.

At around 7pm on Sunday, August 3, Caner Kocer was approached by three men on Pedro Lorca Street in Torrevieja, a resort on the Costa Blanca that is hugely popular with Brits.

The 30-year-old, reportedly a leader of the Daltons, was shot six times, killing him instantly.

Child assassins

Weeks later, an alleged teenage hitman and his accomplice were arrested in Fuengirola for planning to carry out an assassination.

A coordinated operation between Spanish police, Europol and Swedish authorities prevented the hit, leading to the arrest of six suspects linked to a violent Nordic criminal network.

Two of the detainees – one of them a minor – had flown in from Gothenburg, Sweden, on June 29, allegedly contracted over social media to carry out a killing.

In 2024, a 17-year-old male was also sent from Sweden to Benalmadena with instructions to kill, staying in local hotels and using a scooter to scope out a target associated with a motorcycle gang.

His arrest, moments before being handed a weapon by his two Swedish colleagues, led to the dismantling of an organisation dedicated to recruiting minors to commit murders.

Incredibly, the group was run by a Swedish national who had just turned 15 and lived in Alicante, just over 300miles away.

He used Telegram and Signal under aliases such as Donald Trump, The Recruiter, and Ms Evelina.

“He was the f*****g boss,” a police officer told El País.

“He ordered murderers like someone orders a pizza.”

The Costa del Sol has often been dubbed the “United Nations of crime” because more than 100 mafia groups are known to have a presence there.

The area is a hotbed for mafiosos due to its strategic location as the main entry point for both marijuana from North Africa and cocaine from South America.

It is also easy to go undetected, with fugitives able to blend into the large expat population.

Speaking earlier this year, Pedro Agudo, head of the Judicial Police Brigade in Malaga, explained: “Even the bad guys like to live in the best parts of the country – and this is one of them.

“I’m from Galicia myself, and I even asked to be posted to the Costa del Sol. It must be the quality of life.”
