Heartache as search for missing woman, 37, stood down after body find in picturesque Kerry town
Pub boss perv who installed secret cameras in men’s toilet to watch blokes use urinals is jailed
A PUB boss who installed secret CCTV cameras in the men’s toilet has been jailed.
Ronald Hall, 50, also snapped his customers using the urinals under the pretence of tackling drug use at Plough & Harrow pub in Welling, South-East London.

Hall, who was jailed for nine months on Thursday, persuaded brewery bosses to allow him to install the camera by the toilet door.
The former landlord insisted that contractors set up the equipment inside the loos and then disabled the privacy function, giving him a full view of the urinals.
He pleaded guilty at Bromley Magistrates’ Court to thirty-two counts of voyeurism between February 20 and December 6, 2024.
He swiftly lost his home and his job following the arrest on December 17 and fled to Kent where he landed a job as a bus driver.
“Your attitude demonstrates a woeful lack of respect for privacy,” District Judge Sarah Turnock told Hall.
“There must be a sentencing uplift to reflect the sheer volume and scale of your actions.
“There is no realistic prospect of rehabilitation. When given the opportunity to express remorse you have refused to do so and minimised your actions and behaviour and suggested that people would not have even minded.”
Prosecutor Colette Hanna told the court the National Crime Agency alerted police to an online dropbox containing potentially illegal images and recordings that were traced to Hall.
Cops seized Hall’s mobile device which had stored recordings of 16 males using the toilets.
Hall was able to use his phone to remotely zoom in to the urinals and record footage of his customers using them.
When questioned by the officers he claimed: “It’s not voyeurism because it is not distributed.”
Ms Hanna added that Hall admitted to making a “silly mistake” and denied the recordings were “for sexual gratification”.
The disgraced landlord added that some punters were aware of the surveillance equipment and would quip “Have you been watching my k***?” to Hall.
Cops unearthed a total of 105 separate video clips, with Hall claiming his customers “would not be bothered” by the recordings.
“He made light of it and thought there was nothing wrong with what he was doing and they would have consented anyway because they knew they were being filmed,” said Ms Hanna.
“There is planning and persistence and apparently a lack of remorse.”
District Judge Turnock announced: “He deliberately disconnected the privacy settings of the contractors. This seemed to have been planned throughout.
“The offences are very serious and I am satisfied there are factors that raise culpability.
“There was a significant degree of planning by you, that is overwhelmingly clear to me,” she told Hall.
“Added to that the images were shared on your dropbox and accessed at your convenience as you abused your position as the landlord of a public house to record customers.
There is planning and persistence and apparently a lack of remorse.
Colette Hanna
“You directed the installation and then tampered with the CCTV camera to remove the privacy settings order to view mens’ genitalia.”
Hall’s lawyer Christina Barath told the court: “He has shown a lot more remorse for his actions than is in the PSR. He does not think probation wrote down everything he said.
“He no longer works at the pub and is a bus driver and would not have done this if he had not been drinking. This has had a massive impact on his life.
“CCTV was only in the toilet due to drug use and he accessed the CCTV when he was drunk through his phone and zoomed in using his phone.
“He appreciates the severity of his actions and accepts the seriousness of this and that he could receive a custodial sentence.”
The lawyer said Hall attempted suicide before his first court appearance and its currently on an increased prescription for depression.
“Custody would impact his physical and mental health,” added Ms Barath.
“He would lose his home and has complex needs and is vulnerable.”
District Judge Turnock also ordered Hall to sign the sex offenders register for ten years; made him subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and he must pay £85 costs and £187 victim surcharge.
How to get help
EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide
It doesn’t discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society – from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.
It’s the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.
And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.
Yet it’s rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.

Strictly’s Thomas Skinner gives health update on twin girls, 2, after hospital dash – and fears life changing diagnosis
THOMAS Skinner says his twin daughters suffered seizures on the same day.
Now doctors have warned they face a life-changing diagnosis.

The terrified Strictly Come Dancing star rushed his two-year-old girls to hospital on Wednesday evening for urgent tests.
Thankfully, Roma and Darla are now recovering at home after having febrile convulsions while suffering from a fever.
The twin girls had a tough start having been born prematurely weighing just 3lb each.
Thomas missed their birth as he was in the US when wife Sinead Chambers went into labour in June 2023.
Anxious parents Tom and his wife Sinead are now waiting on test results after doctors feared it could be early signs of epilepsy.
Thomas told The Sun: “The girls had been poorly with a cold and suddenly their temperature rocketed.
“They both had febrile convulsions.
“Roma in the morning and Darla in the evening.
“They’re at risk because they were born prematurely weighing just 3lbs.
“A sudden rise in temperature can bring on fits in infants and they’re more susceptible.
“It can be linked to epilepsy so doctors have tested them and we’re waiting for the results, but we’re hopeful that’s not the case.
“They’re back home now, happy and playing. They’re getting lots of cuddles. It was incredibly scary.”
Thomas added: “My family are my world.”
Thomas was the first celebrity to be eliminated from this year’s Strictly, weeks after admitting to cheating on his wife.
In a tearful interview, he told The Sun the fling happened shortly after his May 2022 wedding to Sinead.
Now one former Strictly pro has said the TV personality was “set up to fail”.
Brendan Cole claimed Tom was “let down” by the BBC show.
Speaking on behalf of Sky Vegas, he said: “Honestly, it felt like they wanted to get rid of him, because everything about that performance was wrong, starting with the music choice.”
Tom danced a salsa in a sequin tank top and silver trousers to Dizzee Rascal’s song Bonkers
Brendan added: “The music was completely off for Strictly. The audience doesn’t want techno – they want beauty, elegance, and something that fits the spirit of the show.
“That track belonged in a nightclub, not on a ballroom floor.
“The outfits were awful; the choreography was average – everything about it just missed the mark.
“He had little chance of staying after that.”

Watch as Love Island’s Harry gets Emma tattoo tribute removed and takes savage swipe at her amid ‘bitter’ TikTok war
LOVE Island’s Harry has gotten his infamous Emma tattoo tribute removed while taking a savage swipe at her amid their ‘bitter’ TikTok war.
In a TikTok video, Harry Cooksley can be seen getting a tattoo removed via laser removal.

“As you can see, a bit of laser action today,” he said in the video as he got the inking zapped away.
He said that nobody could have prepared him for the kind of pain he endured while undergoing the treatment.
Harry described the pain as “serious, serious pain”, adding how he thought it would have been a “pain free” procedure.
“Honestly, I was sweating, I was tearing up,” he said in the voiceover of the video.
He then said that he thought one session would get rid of the ink, so was gutted to learn he needed an additional four if he wanted it gone for good.
As he departed the clinic he got the treatment done in, he said to his followers that it felt as though he had gotten his wrist “chopped off”.
Harry’s famous tattoo caused a stir in the Love Island villa earlier this year.
The hunky Islander had an “E” tattoo visible on his wrist, which he claimed to be for his grandma.
But it was later revealed that the inking was for his ex-girlfriend Emma Munro, who later arrived in villa as a Casa Amor bombshell.
Harry is now going through the process of getting rid of his tattoo.
Also in the video, he said: “I should have done this a while ago.”
Many fans think his now-girlfriend Shakira Khan encouraged him to get the inking removed because of the link it had to his ex, but Harry denied this in the comments.
And now several fans reckon once the tatt has vanished, he will get an “S” tattoo in its place.
Reacting to Harry’s ink removal, one person said: “So proud of you Harry 1 down 4 more left!!! Shakira is worth it!!”
Another exclaimed: “FINALLY HARRY!!!”
“Once healed, letter S is next,” said a third.
A fourth then penned: “Lmaoo my girl Shakira cracked the whip! She said get rid of itttttt! My queen!”
While a fifth said: “Did you get a sticker for bravery? And announce the booking of the S tattoo.”
And a sixth added: “I would have just done a cover up xx,” to which Harry replied with: “I might get a few more laser sessions then cover it.”
Harry’s ex Emma recently fuelled criticism on her part when she said in a cheery way: “How I feel sitting on information that could ruin an entire relationship.”
Fans initially assumed Emma was talking about Harry and Shakira, but that wasn’t the case. Emma even told fans they could “put their pitchforks away” when one asked her outright.
