Luka Modric, 39, ‘to undergo medical with seven-time Champions League winners’ ahead of bombshell transfer

LUKA MODRIC is set to undergo a medical at AC Milan after the Club World Cup, according to reports.

The Croatian, 39, has already announced that he will leave Real Madrid following the conclusion of the revamped tournament in the US.

Despite his upcoming exit, Modric has been included in new boss and former team-mate Xabi Alonso‘s Club World Cup squad.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder has agreed to join AC Milan upon the expiry of his Real Madrid contract.

The former Tottenham star does not want to make the switch official or undergo a medical yet, however, as he is determined to focus on Real until the very end of his time there.

Alonso’s men begin their Club World Cup campaign by facing Al-Hilal in Miami on June 18.

They will then play further matches against Pachuca and RB Salzburg – with the final scheduled for July 13.

Despite interest from Saudi Arabia and MLS, Modric has decided to keep playing in Europe.

The Croatia icon would like to represent his country at next summer‘s World Cup, by which time he will be 40-years-old.

Modric joined Real Madrid from Spurs in 2012 and has since gone on to make 591 appearances for Los Blancos.

The dynamic midfielder has won the Champions League a staggering six times during his career, while he also earned the Ballon d’Or in 2018.

Despite his veteran status, Modric made 57 appearances for Real in all competitions this season, including 35 in LaLiga.

The experienced playmaker wore the captain’s armband on several occasions under former boss Carlo Ancelotti.

While Modric will continue to play at a high level for AC Milan, he has also begun to consider life after professional football.

In April it was confirmed that the global superstar had purchased a minority stake in Championship side Swansea City.

SunSport then revealed that Modric was set to buy a £1.1million house on the outskirts of the Welsh city.

I had my fourth child at 43 & now I’m 51 – people think I had my child too old & I disagree but there IS a cut off point

A MUM who welcomed her fourth child at the age of 43 has reignited the debate on how old is too old to have children.

Natalie Heptinstall, 51, from Doncaster, has previously faced criticism for being an older mum, with trolls branding her ‘incredibly selfish’ and even claiming her child would grow up to be a ‘monster’.

Despite the negativity, Natalie continues to advocate for the benefits of being an older parent, sharing her experiences with her followers on TikTok under the handle @natalie_heptinstall.

Natalie, whose eldest child is 26 and youngest is nearly seven, recently took to her TikTok page to open up about the double standards surrounding older parents.

She questioned why men aren’t scrutinised in the same way as women when it comes to having children later in life.

Reflecting on her own journey, Natalie said: “I had my last child at 43, and it was a really positive experience.

“I’m a huge advocate for speaking positively about the benefits of being an older parent, but I definitely feel there’s a cut-off point.”

Recently, Natalie shared her thoughts on Amanda Byram, the former Total Wipeout host, who gave birth to her first child at the age of 51.

Natalie explained that there’s “definitely a cut-off point” when it comes to people saying ‘Oh, congratulations, good luck,’ and others being “horrified and judgemental” for having a baby at specific age.

She also highlighted the disparity in how society views older fathers versus older mothers.

Natalie explained that “nobody bats an eyelid” if a man is 50 plus and having a child, and male celebrities who father children in their later year are “rarely questioned.”

She added: “Meanwhile, with Amanda, the entire article focused on her age, and her husband’s age wasn’t even mentioned.”

Natalie expressed frustration at the lack of progress in attitudes towards older mothers, asking her followers, “How old is too old to have a child? What are your thoughts?”

In the caption section, Natalie she also explained that she is a “huge advocate” for speaking positively about the benefits of being an older parent, but she “definitely feels there’s a cut-off point.”

Natalie’s TikTok video went viral within 24 hours gaining one million views and 3,483 comments.

It sparked a range of responses, with many rushing to share their thoughts and start a debate.

One wrote: “It’s not fair on the child having an old parent.”

While a second added: “I personally don’t think it’s fair on a child.”

But someone else said: “My mum had me at 32.

“I remember how embarrassed I used be that my mum was much older than the other mums.

“She must only been 40 at the time but to me it was old.”

However, another added: “I find some comments awful, you could have a child at 25 and die at 28, or have one at 49 and live until your 90… life isn’t guaranteed.”

And one TikToker said: “A friend of mine passed away age 29, leaving a child behind. You can die at any time.

“It is usual for a woman in the UK to die in her eighties now, so a 51-year-old baby should be an adult when they pass.”

Here's why I love being a young mum

Tracy Kiss, who fell pregnant at 19, has revealed what she believes are the pros of being a young mother.

The personal trainer and blogger, from Buckinghamshire, believes women who give birth in their teens make BETTER mothers than those in their 30s.

She claims young mums snap back into shape quicker, have more energy and relate more easily to their children, meaning they’re better behaved and happier.

Tracy told Fabulous: “Women who become first-time mums in their teens make better parents than those in their 30s or 40s.

“I believe if I’d been 10 or so years older before becoming a mother then I wouldn’t have the relationship I have with my children now.

“For a start, being older I would have had less energy and therefore less patience.

“I wouldn’t be as enthusiastic to speak to people after months of sleepless nights as I was in my teens.

“My body snapped back to its pre-pregnancy size through fitness post-birth, which in turn gave me the confidence to date and find love again. I’ve never been happier than I am now at the age of 30 with two children.

“If I’d have been alone at 40 with a newborn baby I’d be more tired, less happy with my body, less energetic and far more stressed from the shock of living my life for myself instead of putting others first. Sometimes age and the innocence of ignorance is a good thing.

“As a teen mum I just got on with it, found my feet and became responsible and capable because at the time I didn’t know any different.”

Rory McIlroy sparks concerns with ‘very worrying’ US Open behaviour as Sky Sports pundit says ‘his eyes weren’t alive’

RORY MCILROY has sparked concerns ahead of the US Open.

The reigning Masters champion has not won a tournament since his brilliant Augusta triumph.

McIlroy, 36, has found himself in a slump, last week failing to even make the cut at the RBC Canadian Open.

With the US Open set to get underway later today, McIlroy has given a press conference.

The Northern Irishman’s body language during the presser concerned Sky Sports’ former Ryder Cup captain analyst Paul McGinley.

Discussing McIlroy’s chances at Oakmont, the Irishman, 58, said: “You’d have to say it was very worrying looking at his press conference there. His eyes weren’t alive. The energy was not there.

“He certainly didn’t have the pointy elbows the way we saw coming into the Masters. He was a man on a mission, he was a man on a bounce, he was a man out to prove something. ‘Get out of my way, here I come.’ You could see that and feel the energy.

“You don’t see it at the moment. I know from my own experience, when you win tournaments, you check out. You don’t feel the same.

“You want to be there, and you put in the energy, but something inside you is just missing.

“It takes some time for that to reset, and I think he’s going through a period of that. He’s completed a Grand Slam – it’s a huge achievement.

“I’m no psychologist but it looks like the air has been sucked out of him a little since that, not just in the way he’s played but in his press conferences.

“It’s very un-Rory-like to have such low energy. This is not normal Rory.

“This is not when he’s at his best. In my opinion, I think he’s at his best when he’s p***ed off or following off a big loss or something that went wrong.”

During the presser, McIlroy did claim to be feeling good.

The Masters champion said: “I feel like, as the last few weeks ago, I think I learnt a lot on Thursday and Friday last week.

“Did a good bit of practice at home and feel like I’m in a better place with everything going into this week.”

Mcilroy then went on to reflect: “I think it’s trying to have a little bit of amnesia and forget about what happened six weeks ago, then just trying to find the motivation to go back out there and work as hard as I’ve been working.

“I worked incredibly hard on my game from October last year all the way up until April this year.

“It was nice to sort of see the fruits of my labour come to fruition and have everything happen. But at the same time, you have to enjoy what you’ve just accomplished.

“I certainly feel like I’m still doing that and I will continue to do that but, at some point, you have to realise that there’s a little bit more golf left to play this season.

“There’s here, Royal Portrush, Ryder Cup…those are obviously the three big things that I’m looking at for the rest of the year.

“I think weeks like Quail Hollow or even weeks like last week, it makes it easier to reset in some way, to be like, ‘okay, I sort of need to get my stuff together here and get back to the process’.”

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper suffers painful injury as he updates fans from A&E

CLARKSON’S Farm star Kaleb Cooper has revealed he’s in A&E after suffering a painful injury.

The 26-year-old, who is Jeremy Clarkson‘s handy-man on the hit Amazon Prime series, was rushed to hospital following a game of football.

Kaleb, 26, then told how he had fractured his ankle[/caption]

Kaleb captured his swollen ankle on a video captured to her Instagram page, before revealing he had suffered a fracture.

The farming contractor then showcased his limb clad in a black protective boot following an X-Ray, and simply commented: “Not good.”

Yet a video uploaded shortly afterwards offered more hope for Clarkson’s Farm fans, showing the Diddly Squat Farm employee hobbling around in a checked shirt.

He told the camera: “I may be hobbling around as I’ve fractured my ankle, but I’ll still be at the 3 Counties Show on the Sunday, setting up on the Thursday.

“I’ll be doing talks throughout the day, and Hawkestone Cider will be there. So, do pop along and say hello. I’m looking forward to it.”

“Even though I may be hobbling around I’ll be there – don’t you worry! I’ll be there.”

He then proved it was back to work as normal as he captured some hens in their coop.

Kaleb’s profile rocketed to fame following the release of the show in 2021.

SHAKE UP?

Fans of the series, which has just dropped its fourth instalment, were left concerned Kaleb had been “replaced.”

It came after The Sun were the first to reveal the identity of the mystery blonde, new farmhand Harriet Cowan, after she appeared in the trailer.

24-year-old Harriet was selected by Jezza to take over the work of Kaleb after he was seemingly replaced on the show.

Jeremy was left having to deal with all the goings-on at Diddly Squat Farm after Kaleb left him to head out on tour and pursue his media career.

In an Instagram video, Jeremy addressed the recent changes for the first time.

Speaking in one of his many fields, the former Top Gear star said: “There has been lots of reports that Kaleb has been ‘replaced’ – well, no he hasn’t.”

Who is Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper?

By Conor O’Brien

Hailing from Chipping Norton, farmer Kaleb Cooper shot to fame by appearing in Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm.

The hit show follows Jeremy Clarkson in his journey managing Diddly Squat Farm – which he’d owned since 2008.

Born and bred in the area, Kaleb has become Jeremy’s right-hand man and sort of farming mentor.

Viewers have watched the pair light-heartedly ‘clash’ – with Kaleb usually ridiculing Jeremy’s efforts.

Three series have aired – with a fourth on the way – significantly raising Kaleb’s public profile.

Away from the screen, the farmer is also a father to two young children

Jeremy then went on to clarify the current set-up and just exactly why Harriet was brought into the farm and what Kaleb’s future on the show looked like.

He continued: “What happened is this, he went away on his speaking tour, for a couple of months because he imagined that after four years, I’d be able to manage on my own.

” I didn’t – I made a complete mess of everything and had to bring in a young girl called Harriet.

“Harriet is brilliant and looked after the fort until he got back.

“That is it – that’s the story!”

Jeremy’s message confirmed that Kaleb would be sticking around and wouldn’t be disappearing quite just yet despite the fears raised in the new trailer.
