Joan Collins, 92, is launching her own range of wine and flowers

DAME Joan Collins is launching her own booze — with flowers to follow.

The 92-year-old star of Dynasty and films such as The Bitch once said: “Age is just a number.

“It’s totally irrelevant unless, of course, you happen to be a bottle of wine.”

Her advisers have sent papers to the Intellectual Property Office seeking legal protection to sell a host of alcoholic drinks.

The same application seeks a trademark to sell flowers and dried blooms.

A source said: “Joan is not a formidable, inspirational British icon for nothing and starting her own alcohol range at 92 is very her.

“Fans will be queuing up for her plonk in the hope it inspires such hard work in the rest of us.”

Dame Joan already has a tie-in with retailer Marks & Spencer to put her name to a £75 bouquet and vase deal.

Legend Joan has been active in the spotlight since the 50s, switching from sexy Hollywood starlet to British icon.

She made her feature film debut as a beauty contest entrant in Lady Godiva Rides Again in 1951 followed by The Woman’s Angle in 1952 in a role as a Greek maid.

She got her big break when Rank Organisation signed her for I Believe in You in 1952.

During the 1970s, she starred in several films including The Quest For Love, Fear In The Night and Empire Of The Ants.

In 1981, Joan joined the Dynasty for its second season. She played Alexis Colby, the ex-wife of oil tycoon Blake Carrington.

Joan is the older sister of the late best-selling novelist Jackie Collins, who passed away in 2015 following a battle with breast cancer.

The same year Joan, with a fortune of over £20m, was made a Dame by the Queen for her charitable services.

The mum of three married fifth hubby Percy Gibson in 2002.

Moment stubborn cyclist refuses to move bike from train in standoff with staff as frustrated passengers watch on

THIS is the astonishing moment a selfish cyclist held up a train on the London Underground after he refused to remove his bike from the carriage.

The passenger stayed put despite numerous requests from fellow travellers and staff.

The standoff occurred at Bond Street station on a Central Line train where the man was told that the train could not leave until his bicycle was removed.

In the video footage, a frustrated passenger can be heard yelling: “You know no one goes home if you don’t get off, you can cycle home bro.”

Other passengers can be seen leaning out of the carriage to see what the commotion is.

The unidentified man continues to engage with the cyclist to try to make him see sense, saying: “We’ve just got off work.

“I don’t know if I’m going to get home.”

But the cyclist replies: “The police said they’re coming to take my bike, bruv.”

The passenger says: “I hear you but they’re saying no.”

After some muffled conversation, the passenger says: “No one goes home if you don’t just jump off and cycle home. You’ve got a bike.”

Under the Transport for London (TfL) rules folded bicycles on all Tune lines are allowed at any time.

But non-folding bikes are banned during peak times (between 7.30am and 9.30am, and 4pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday).

There are though some additional restrictions which apply to certain parts of the Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern, and Piccadilly lines and non-folding e-bikes fitted with certain conversion kits are also prohibited.

The train driver made an announcement to the passengers using the station’s speaker systems.

The man said: “This is a customer announcement; the train will not be moving until the person with the bike has got off the train.

“You are holding up all the passengers on this train, please remove your bike from the train.”

The Sun Online has contacted TfL for comment.
