Bargain lovers can get a six pack of Cadbury chocolate for just 1p at major supermarket

A MAJOR supermarket is giving bargain hunters a chance to get a six pack of Cadbury chocolate for just 1p.

Iceland has slashed the price of Time Out multi packs to a penny.

Shoppers can shop the bargain via Iceland’s online store

The sweet treat features wafer pieces and is encased in milk chocolate.

In the past, shoppers have said the snack is ideal to have in the “bicky jar for having with a cuppa or a coffee“.

While another said they were “absolutely lovely I could eat them all day”.

And a third said the delights were “good for sweet cravings without too many calories”.

Iceland typically sells the packet for £1.39, but shoppers can score a pack for just 1p.

However, if you are keen to get your hands on the bargain, you will have to do so via Iceland’s online website.

That’s because the frozen food specialist is running the offer as an online exclusive.

The supermarket has also said customers can only pick up one packet of the chocolate per shop.

Shoppers spotted the bargain on HotUKDeals, and were quick to praise the find.

One savvy customer said: “Good way to get customers and clear out stock on some products.”

However another said it was “unfortunate” they could only purchase one packet.

Shoppers should also bear in mind that Iceland has a minimum spend of £25 on online deliveries.

So you might only get your money‘s worth if you were already planning to place a grocery shop with the retailer.

Tesco is also selling the chocolate bars for £1.65.

More chocolate offers

And Iceland is not the only store slashing the price of chocolate.

Tesco has cut the price of Terry’s Chocolate Orange to £1, but the offer is due to end on October 14.

Aldi has also slashed the price of a 550g tub of Heroes to £4.89 and a 550g tub of Quality Street to just £4.39.

Asda is also selling festive tubs of Celebrations for £4.42 and Roses for £4.92

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

Big Brother host Will Best takes subtle dig at axed contestant George ahead of eviction – did you spot it?

BIG Brother presenter Will Best appeared to throw shade at former housemate George Gilbert.

BB host Will took to the stage during last night’s eviction and made a subtle dig about the former contestant.

Standing alongside co-host AJ Odudu, Will told the audience: “It’s been a very tense day in the house.

“The moment has arrived and someone is coming out.

“Let’s not forget they’re actually going to be the first housemate of the series to actually walk out the front door.”

AJ remarked: “I can’t wait.”

Will added: “I can’t believe it works!”

So far ITV2 viewers have said goodbye to Emily Hewertson, who was in the house for a few hours, and Gani Khan, who became the second housemate to be evicted last Friday.

Earlier this week, housemate George was axed by ITV bosses this week after ‘unacceptable language and behaviour’.

The 23-year-old parish councillor was kicked out of the Big Brother house on allegations of an antisemitic remark, The Sun previously revealed.

Sources said that George left his co-stars horrified after making offensive comments and was immediately called to the Diary Room and ejected from the house.

It comes after he was spoken to over a homophobic hand gesture aimed at housemate Sam, leaving him in tears.

George also clashed with Teja in a row over immigration and was accused of fat-shaming housemate Cameron K after telling him to stop eating a biscuit.

He also upset the girls in the house by saying they “all look and think the same” and left Jenny furious in a debate over addiction – telling her she shouldn’t give money to homeless people.

George was also accused of making Zelah – whose mum is from India – feel unwelcome in a debate over celebrating Pakistani Independence Day.

The housemate had already received a formal warning for his language earlier in the week.

It is understood that a number of other instances have seen the housemate spoken to by Big Brother but have not been broadcast as a result of going against broadcasting standards.

Richard, Elsa and Cameron B faced possible elimination in Friday’s episode – and it was 25-year-old Cameron B from Bolton who got the chop.

The personal trainer left the building after a final potty-mouthed feud with fellow contestant Feyisola, 33.

Tensions dramatically came to a head when the lad confronted Feyisola during a fiery secluded group chat.

He originally entered the House on Day Two, alongside three other newcomers.

Big Brother airs on ITV2 and ITVX.
