A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after two men were shot dead during a heated argument at a local tavern in Ventersburg.
The incident unfolded on Saturday night around 9:30 PM. According to police reports, officers arrived at the scene to find one victim, aged 41, near the tavern’s entrance and a 29-year-old man inside. Both had been shot and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest the three men were playing a game of pool when a dispute broke out. The suspect reportedly left the premises after being attacked by the victims, only to return with a firearm and open fire.
The suspect is expected to appear at the Ventersburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face murder charges.
