An investigation into what art Selling Sunset’s Amanza Smith actually does

The Selling Sunset cast member Amanza Smith seems to have decided that art is now her main personality trait. Her main contribution to the real estate ventures this season seems to have been when she stuck up some of her own paintings in another agent’s house. What art is Amanza Smith from Selling Sunset really selling? Has she forgotten she is supposed to be a real estate agent? We shall investigate all.

Yes, Amanza does paint now

It is entirely possible that Selling Sunset‘s Amanza just woke up one day and decided to be an artist. She picked up art as a hobby at the end of 2023. Amanza wrote on her Instagram: “I started painting as a form of therapy to heal my mind and it’s now taken me on a very positive ride.”

She creates contemporary paintings. Amanza mostly uses acrylic paints, but seems to experiment with spray paints, marker pens and even nail varnish. Many pieces are abstract compositions of colour and shapes, but some feature more recognisable figures, such as buildings or even robots.

Er, maybe I’ve just spent too long looking at these paintings, but I actually rather like some now? If I had a few thousand dollars lying around, I would not be opposed to having one on my wall x

People have actually paid money for her paintings

In 2024, one of her paintings was displayed at Mash Gallery in West Hollywood for an exhibition called Feminine Cadence (whatever that means). This was shown in the last season of Selling Sunset. More of her art popped up in their Artful Alchemy and  Dazzling Glamor of Creative Pursuit exhibits.

Amanza had her first solo exhibit in June. Grove Gallery in London displayed 12 of her paintings in a show called 404: Humanity Not Found.

You can peruse the paintings available for purchase at the moment. They range from £1,400 to a whopping £16,000.

She told Loaded World people have come into the Oppenheim Group and ask if they could commission a painting. Presumably, these people aren’t just her coworkers.

Amanza’s priority does not appear to be selling houses

She is listed on The Oppenheim Group website as being a “realtor associate / interior design specialist”. However, her real estate licence expired in March 2024. She actually can’t sell houses at the moment, and she didn’t appear to sell a single house in the previous season of Selling Sunset, either. It appears she is part of the Selling Sunset team for the vibes (and to occasionally help houses look pretty?).
