This time a year ago, 90 per cent of our thoughts were on the MAFS UK 2024 couple Alex Henry and Holly Ditchfield. The couple seemed to fight and rekindle their relationship about ten times a day.
Alex’s time on MAFS UK 2024 was especially controversial. He ranted on Instagram about how “men need to be men” and shouldn’t let female partners “dominate” them. Women’s Aid even stated they were “disappointed and concerned” he was on the show.
Here’s a look at what happened with Alex and Holly’s relationship in the year since MAFS UK, and where they stand now. The drama kept on going and going.
They did officially break up on MAFS
After weeks of arguing, Holly Ditchfield and Alex Henry finally gave up on MAFS UK 2024 during the second-to-last commitment ceremony. That episode aired on Monday 28th October, but was filmed back in the spring.
Alex and Holly seemed to still be really close again after filming wrapped
While Alex was feuding with Holly on the show, he was being very complimentary about her irl. In October, Alex posted a screenshot of Holly video calling him at 12:27 am, with the caption: “Wifey called me last night to come to the club, but I had boxing in the morning.”

He also shared on his story that he has been buying presents for Holly, and wouldn’t do that for anybody else.
On the first weekend of November, Alex and Holly went on a wild night out with Sacha Jones in Manchester. The duo were photographed holding each others hand, and even kissing. Both reshared the pics to their Insta stories. A lot of MAFS viewers wondered if this was a soft relaunch of their relationship.
Holly and Alex both went to Amy Kenyon‘s MAFS reunion viewing part in mid-November. In all the pics, they looked pretty couple-y.

Something appears to have gone wrong
Around the end of November, Alex and Holly unfollowed each other on Instagram *gasp*. Holly purged her Instagram page of Alex – the only remaining traces of her time on MAFS are group pics with with other brides.
She clarified her relationship status on her Instagram story, writing: “We was never back together; we was working on a friendship”.
Holly is already engaged to somebody else
Really. In March 2025, she dropped the news she was dating the TikToker Aaron Summers. He asked her to marry him (via a cheesecake) only two months later.

Alex hasn’t announced that he’s dating anybody new. Plus, he posted to his Instagram story on 14th October the Drake lyrics, “Only reason I ain’t got a girl and I ain’t getting married is because I’m out here really filling up the itinerary.” Well, that’s one theory.
