  • The extradition order was granted after the brothers, Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande, abandoned their appeal against the ruling.
  • The pair face a total of 24 charges, including murder, conspiracy, and illegal possession of firearms, with the South African Police Service (SAPS) confident it has a “water-tight case”.

wo men accused of the high-profile murder of South African music star Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “TIBZ” Motsoane are set to be extradited from Eswatini to South Africa on 11 November 2025.

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, confirmed receiving the formal extradition order from the Kingdom of Eswatini.

The brothers, Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande, reportedly abandoned their appeal against the decision, paving the way for their return.

The pair were arrested in Mbabane earlier in 2024 following a lengthy investigation. A Justice Department statement confirmed they would be returned next Tuesday to face trial on charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

AKA and Motsoane were fatally shot in a brazen attack outside a restaurant on Florida Road, Durban, in February 2023. Five other suspects were previously arrested in South Africa in connection with the double murder.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) National Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, confirmed that Interpol South Africa and Interpol Eswatini are finalising all necessary logistical arrangements for the handover.

General Masemola commended the Eswatini authorities for their cooperation.
