Addison Rae might be best known for her music and rom-com roles, but in Netflix’s Monster: The Ed Gein Story, she’s stepping into seriously dark territory, and now she has revealed her favourite scene to film.
Addison plays Evelyn Hartley, a young babysitter whose encounter with Ed Gein turns horrifying in a matter of minutes. I would’ve loved to see more of her character in the show; she was like a breath of fresh air, but sadly, she was doomed from the start. Despite the dark storyline, Addison says one of her favourite scenes to film was actually a surprisingly fun one.
So, which was Addison Rae’s favourite scene to film?

“My first day on set, I got to roller-skate, which was really fun,” Addison Rae told Tudum. “I did get into a [roller-skating] phase after I shot that day. I loved it for about a month.”
Of course, things take a darker turn for Evelyn, this is a Ryan Murphy true crime series, after all. Her story doesn’t end with a cute skating montage; it spirals into one of the show’s most intense and heartbreaking moments.
Addison recalled filming Evelyn’s final scene, which involved long hours, heavy makeup, and even being wrapped up on a table. “It was a pretty uncomfortable position to be in for that amount of time,” she said, adding that her co-star Charlie Hunnam was incredibly supportive. “He was just constantly checking in on me. He made sure there was an end to those moments that didn’t feel so intense.”

Still, even during those heavy scenes, Addison said there were moments of laughter on set, including one that broke the tension in the best way possible. “His stomach growled while we were doing that scene,” she laughed. “We both just cracked up. It was nice to have a little break.”
Recently, Charlie Hunnam also spoke out on how he made Addison comfortable while filming those scenes.
By the time filming wrapped, Addison admitted she didn’t want to leave. “I felt really sad that I wasn’t there longer. I was really just falling in love with Evelyn and the kids,” she said. “It felt like such a family.”
