Steven Springett is a name with a lot of whimsy, but Steven Springett is not. groom on MAFS UK we’ve experienced much whimsy from. In fact, we’ve experienced a lot of bad vibes actually. A lot of bad vibes indeed. Despite the fact he joined the show with a wedding that most of the cast would have dreamed of experiencing – which featured so much love and spark with his wife Nelly – it quickly went downhill. Mostly because he was in bed calling her “a f*cking idiot” under his breath, which wasn’t the best look to say the least. But what was Steven really like on MAFS UK – Julia-Ruth and Keye have their verdict.
Steven has been extremely controversial
He’s been in constant drama for the past few weeks since a night out where Nelly felt disrespected, which escalated into immensely bad vibes. He even threw his drink after arguing with cast members and storming out, and he[s definitely getting labelled as one of the more toxic grooms in this season.
But what do his cast mates think?
Julia-Ruth and Keye share what Steven was really like on MAFS UK
Speaking exclusively to Heat World, Julia-Ruth and Keye explained other sides to Steven on MAFS UK. Julia-Ruth said “Do you know what, I think I’ve had two different experiences with Steven. I feel like Steven is a lot of fun and good energy. So we got on in that sense because he actually really is a ball of laughter, loves to sing and crack jokes and he has got a really caring side.”
She continued saying: “After commitment ceremonies he’d come and check up on me or Divarni [Balogun]. I think he gave Divarni a kiss on the forehead once and was like, ‘Hey bro, are you good?’ Divarni was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what’s going on?’ So Stephen’s got that side to him.”
Keye was slightly less complimentary – they famously argued quite early on in the show. “My experience with Steven is obviously a tad different. I can see that he does have a fun bubbly side obviously we did spend time together. I don’t know… Different experiences, I can see [Julia’s point of view] but different people are for different people.”
Not exactly singing from the same hymn sheet, but oh well.
