About the Supply Chain Internship Programme
The Sappi Supply Chain Internship provides exposure across sales, production, planning, and supply chain operations, giving interns practical insight into how a large industrial organisation manages demand, inventory, and customer orders.
Interns will gain valuable experience while contributing to real operational activities within the Saiccor Mill.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Provide administrative support to the sales, production, and supply chain departments
- Assist customers with order-related queries
- Support the supply chain team with forecasting, inventory planning, and scheduling
- Process customer orders in line with Sappi’s standard operating procedures
- Review orders captured by peers to help reduce booking errors
- Assist the Planning Department with:
- Allocation processes
- Block space planning
- Urgent manufacturing requirements
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement
- Finance
- Business Administration
- No prior work experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams)

Duration of Internship
- 12 months (One-year internship programme)
