Eligibility Requirements (Who Should Apply)
Applicants must meet all of the following minimum requirements:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be financially needy
- Have completed Matric
- Have achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in Matric
- Have achieved at least 75% in Pure Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and English
- Be entering first year of study in 2026
- Be starting their first undergraduate degree
- Be accepted or registered at a recognised and accredited public university in South Africa
- Be studying towards a STEM qualification relevant to the energy sector
Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in the application not being considered.
