  • DJ Warras’ sister broke down in court after the bail hearing of the accused killer was postponed.
  • She said the festive season exposed the painful void left by Warrick’s death, especially for his three children.
  • The family has called on the nation to support them in prayer as they trust the justice process.

Tears flowed freely in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday as the family of slain media personality and businessman Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock once again came face to face with the painful reality of his absence.

Stock’s sister, Nicole, broke down after the bail application of the man accused of killing her brother, Victor Majola, was postponed to 13 January 2026 following a brief court appearance.

The delay, she said, has reopened wounds that are only beginning to surface as the family learns to live without him.

Speaking to the media, Nicole struggled to contain her grief, her voice trembling as she described the growing emptiness left by her brother’s death.

She said the festive season was particularly cruel for the family, especially for Warrick’s three young boys, who are still grappling with life without their father.

“We were all expecting that call, ‘Are you home? What’s for lunch? ’ and him walking in, hugging and kissing everyone, greeting the boys,” she said through tears.

“We miss him so much. The reality is sinking in now. The void is becoming more real.”

Nicole said the family has chosen faith over anger, calling on South Africans to stand with them in prayer as they navigate their grief and the slow wheels of justice.

“Only God can fill this void,” she said. “Right now, we need prayer, support and love. Anger and revenge won’t get us where we need to be. We are trusting the process.”

Stock was fatally shot on 16 December 2024 outside Zambezi House in Johannesburg’s CBD. His killing is believed to be linked to his work in the private security sector and his involvement in reclaiming hijacked buildings in the inner city.
