Award-winning singer Makhadzi is recovering in a Polokwane hospital after being involved in a car accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg.

South African musician Makhadzi, real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, is recovering in a Polokwane hospital following a car accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg on Wednesday morning, 31 December 2025.
According to a statement posted by her management team, Makhadzi Entertainment, on her official Facebook account, the singer’s condition is stable.
“Makhadzi Entertainment confirms that award-winning artist Makhadzi was involved in a car accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg on the morning of 31 December.
“She is currently receiving medical care and remains in hospital, where her condition is stable and under close observation by medical professionals. The priority at this time is her recovery and well-being,” the statement read.
Makhadzi Entertainment has requested privacy for the star until she has fully recovered, noting that “further updates will be communicated through official channels as and when appropriate.”
