BMW Group South Africa invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Yes4Youth (Y4Y) Student Programme 2026. This 12-month fixed-term contract forms part of BMW’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment by providing meaningful workplace experience and skills development in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Programme Duration: 01 April 2026 – 31 March 2027
Programme Location: Gauteng, South Africa (Midrand, Rosslyn & Menlyn)
About the Yes4Youth Student Programme
The Yes4Youth Student Programme is a national initiative aimed at empowering unemployed youth with hands-on work experience and practical skills. Through this programme, BMW Group South Africa offers participants exposure to real business environments while helping them build a strong foundation for long-term careers.
Participants will be based at one of the following BMW locations:
- Midrand Campus, Johannesburg
- Rosslyn Plant, Pretoria
- Menlyn (BMW IT Hub), Pretoria
Who should apply
The programme is aimed at candidates who meet the following criteria:
- South African youth aged 18 to 34 years
- Have completed their studies
- Currently unemployed
- Have not previously participated in a Yes4Youth programme
All appointments will be made in line with the Employment Equity requirements of the programme.
Qualifications and fields of study
Applicants must hold a University Degree or National Diploma in one of the following fields:
- Business Administration / Management Administration / MBA
- Business Management
- Communications
- Finance / Accounting / Economics / Investments / Internal Auditing / Tax
- Risk Management
- Human Resources / Industrial Psychology
- Law (LLB) / Labour Law
- Marketing
- Analytics / Business Analytics
- Information Technology (Java, Information Systems, SAP, ABAP, Programming, Coding)
- Information Science (Multimedia)
- Informatics
- Graphic Design (UI/UX focus)
- Computer Science
- Mathematics
- Data Science
- Health Services Management
- Political Science / Economics
- Engineering: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Metallurgical, Civil (BSc / BEng / BTech)
- Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations Management
