NY education officials won’t say if state is complying with ‘FAFSA’ law meant to grant access to $1B in fed aid

In a letter to State Education Department Commissioner Betty Rosa, state Sen. Andrew Gounardes asks for an update on whether schools reported their numbers of students who completed the form, something they were supposed to do by July 1st of this year under language including in the state budget deal in 2024.
