Police are probing the murder of TV host and DJ Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, after he was shot dead in Johannesburg on Tuesday 16 December.
MANHUNT UNDERWAY FOR MURDER OF DJ WARRAS
40-year-old DJ Warras was shot four times in the Johannesburg CBD on Tuesday 16 December. The fatal shooting took place in broad day light.
Gauteng Deputy Police Commissioner Fred Kekana revealed that key evidence, like cartridges, were discovered at the scene. The Police revealed that perpetrators were caught on several cameras as they fled. CCTV footage in the Johannesburg CBD showed a man with dreadlocks opening fire on the former 5FM DJ.
TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR THE LATE DJ
South Africans have been shaked by the death of DJ Warras, and tributes have been pouring in.
“DJ Warras was more than a face of a reality series. He was a talented storyteller, a passionate music lover and a warm soul who brought joy and energy to every moment on screen. His dedication to creativity left an indelible mark on our channels,” said M-Net’s director of local entertainment channels, Shirley Adonisi.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his friends, family and all who knew and loved him. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time,” she continued.
Many others took to social media to grieve the untimely death of the DJ.
