HOW MUCH DOES SHE OWE SARS

Over the years, MaMkhize has courted controversy for all the wrong reasons, with allegations linking her to tax evasion, tender fraud, corruption, and forgery.

Last year, the businesswoman’s properties were raided during a search and seizure operation warranted by SARS and granted by the High Court.

Through her family’s Shandi Trust, MaMkhize owes around R40 million in unpaid taxes.

Her luxury assets, like cars, handbags, furniture, specialised equipment, and now alcohol, were auctioned off to help settle the debt.

MaMkhize’s soccer club, Royal AM FC, was placed under curatorship, and, after failed bids, was expelled by the PSL.
