Prince Kaybee opens up about childhood trauma and why he struggles with sex despite fame and fortune

South African DJ and producer Prince Kaybee, real name Kabelo Motsamai, recently shocked social media by revealing that he was molested as a child.
The conversation began after the “Fetch Your Life” hitmaker interacted with a follower who accused him of damaging his brand because of how he engages in discussions about sex online.
“Shame, only if you knew. I hardly have sex, but what you think is also fine,” he wrote.
When asked why he isn’t sexually active, Prince Kaybee explained that he doesn’t view intercourse positively because he may have approached it for the wrong reasons.
“I think sex is whack, From being molested as a child to now being an adult with numerous therapy visits I can tell you that I might have been having it for the wrong reasons. With all the internal issues I had growing up, I became rich and famous, suddenly I had access to sex with anyone I wish, that was the beginning of a monsoon of a life,” he shared.
The musician added that his reputation for being sex-obsessed on social media does not reflect who he truly is because sex actually makes him uncomfortable.
“My relationship with sex is also defined by how I get uncomfortable when shown compassion, I repel any form of love because I am fine without and in most cases when people have sex they say they make love, love being something that makes me uncomfortable with how its defined in modern times. I am a psychopath, I feel less,” Prince Kaybee commented.
Fans have commended him for being vulnerable enough to share such an intimate part of his life and praised the progress he appears to have made through therapy.

Here’s a breakdown of two scandals and controversies surrounding Prince Kaybee’s sex life in recent years:
Cheating and leaked nudes
In May 2021, South African DJ and podcaster Hazel Mahazard revealed her affair with Prince Kaybee by posting Instagram DMs and leaking a nude photo of the DJ. At the time, Prince Kaybee was in a relationship with actress Zola Mhlongo, the mother of his child. At first he denied the allegation, but later publicly apologised to Mhlongo for humiliating her. Hazel also issued her own apology after being served with a letter of demand.
Sex tape and revenge-porn allegations
In August 2023, social media star and DJ Cyan Boujee accused Prince Kaybee of leaking a sex tape involving the two of them. Prince Kaybee has never confirmed or denied responsibility. In an interview on Podcast and Chill, Cyan confirmed that the video was taken by Prince Kaybee and that she was 19 years old at the time.
