Checkers has dedicated another social media post to the Springboks in their outgoing test match this weekend. The rugby squad will face Wales on Saturday, 29 November, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
CHECKERS CELEBRATES FINAL TEST MATCH
On their social media platforms, Checkers reflected on all the posts supporting the Springboks in recent months.
This includes games against Japan, Argentina, New Zealand, Italy, and recently Ireland.
In their final ode to the boys in green and gold, the food retailer took aim at the Boks’ opponents in their final test match – Wales.
In the video post, an AI-generated wild Springbok strolls into a local Checkers, where it revisited eating food and drinks representing the countries South Africa has played and beaten
The words “It’s been a wild season…there’s only one thing left to do” flashed across the screen.
The clip then cut to the Springbok, breathing fire on a braai stand, no less.
“Slay the dragon”, the clip added, referring to the dragon, the national symbol of Wales.
Checkers captioned the post: “The final feast.”
SPRINGBOKS 2026 FIXTURES
After playing Wales, the Springboks will return to their individual club, before uniting next year for the 2026 test schedule.
