If you were hoping for clear skies this Humpday, you might need to adjust your plans. Wednesday, 19 November, is shaping up to be a mix of fog, clouds and scattered showers across parts of the country. The Northern Cape, Mpumalanga and the Free State are all in for a bit of gloomy weather. Here’s a look at what you can expect in these three provinces.
MPUMALANGA
If you’re in Mpumalanga, you can expect morning fog in places along the northern escarpment. Otherwise, partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the eastern Highveld. It will be cloudy in the Lowveld.
MBOMBELA
In Mpumalanga’s capital, Mbombela, it will be cloudy with fog in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, with a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 23.
NORTHERN CAPE
Fog seems to be a common factor. In the Northern Cape, you can expect morning fog in the extreme north-east and along the coast. Otherwise, the day will be fine and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly
KIMBERLEY
Fine conditions in the Northern Cape’s capital city. You can expect a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30.
UPINGTON
Also fine weather conditions in Upington with a low of 19 and a high of 33.
FREE STATE
Morning fog over the south and extreme east, partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east. It will be fine in the south.
BLOEMFONTEIN
Partly cloudy conditions in the capital city, with lows of 14 and a high of 29.
