Areas affected include Kibler Park, MSS on Milner Drive, Peggy Vera Street and the corner of Sherwood Street.

Transformer windings and critical components were stolen.

City Power urged residents to stay away from MSS with broken locks, open doors and damaged fencing.

Between October 2025 and November 2025, the city incurred losses worth R5.8 million due to theft and vandalism.

The power utility mentioned that they are working closely with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) to resolve the matter.
