MAFS UK’s Davide reveals Keye being on Grindr isn’t the only reason they broke up

Right before the MAFS UK 2025 reunion aired, news dropped that Keye and Davide had split since the experiment ended, and Davide has just shared some more info about exactly why they broke up.

After rumours spread around the internet, the two grooms both shared statements on Instagram revealing that they broke up after Keye made a profile on the dating app Grindr. However, that’s not the full story.

In a new interview with The Sun, Davide has explained that the dating profile was what ultimately caused them to go their separate ways, but cracks were forming in their relationship long before Keye went on Grindr.

He said: “We were struggling as a couple after the experiment. It was difficult to manage the normal world. I was travelling a lot in my job as a flight attendant, and there was a lot to navigate.”

Davide lives in Horsham, while Keye lives not far away in London, so there wasn’t a huge distance between them. But it seems like their busy schedules and the pressures of the outside world were getting too much and pulling them apart.

“On the night I found him on the app, I had the feeling something was wrong. I was abroad, and he wasn’t answering my calls, he wasn’t messaging me, but he was posting on social media. Hence why I was like, something is not right here,” Davide added.

“I’ve been in this situation prior in the past, so I had to check. And when I found him [on Grindr] that was it. There was so much hurt on my end that I just couldn’t overcome.”

After that, the groom said there was “nothing that Keye could have said” to rebuild that trust. So, the only option was for them to break up.

“I would have been paranoid. I would have always been checking where he was. I would have always been checking his phone. I would have always been insecure about myself. And I don’t deserve that,” he added.

“I thought to myself, I’ve been with this man for three months. How am I going to allow someone in three months to break my trust like this? So I had to stand my ground and move on.”
