Necsa invites unemployed South African TVET graduates to apply for the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) N6 Engineering Programmes 2026.

Internship Location: Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa


About the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme

Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) is a structured educational approach that combines theory with practical, real-world experience. It enables students to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom in a workplace setting under supervision. This enhances employability, builds industry-ready skills, and provides critical exposure needed before graduation.

Necsa’s WIL Programme aims to support N6 graduates from TVET Colleges who need practical training to complete their qualifications and gain workplace experience in Engineering fields.


Requirements

Unemployed South African citizens aged 18–35 who have completed their N6 qualification are invited to apply.

You must submit a confirmation letter from your TVET College stating:

  • You have completed the theoretical component of your N6 studies
  • You require practical experience to graduate

Eligible fields of study include:

N6 Electrical Engineering

  • Electrician
  • Instrumentation

N6 Mechanical Engineering

  • Fitting and Turning
  • Plater / Boilermaker
  • Welder

N6 Civil Engineering

  • Plumber
  • Carpenter

N6 Automotive Engineering

  • Motor Mechanic
  • Auto Electrician
  • Diesel Mechanic

Interpersonal & Professional Skills Required

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and be ambitious
  • Analytical thinking
  • Diligence and commitment

  • Only South African citizens may apply
  • Admission into the WIL Programme does not guarantee employment at Necsa
