Former Springbok physiotherapist Rene Naylor is celebrating her engagement after a recent romantic proposal.
Fondly known as “Player 24”, she joined the national team’s medical staff in 2008 and has over 130 caps.
Rene – who retired a year ago – was responsible for injury prevention and rehabilitation within the squad.

On her Instagram account, Rene Naylor shared a peek at her romantic engagement to real estate agent Paul Whitefield.
Last week, the Cape Town businessman popped the question to the bombshell brunette at a picturesque location, overlooking the beach, in the Western Cape.
The former Springbok physiotherapist sported a traditional gold band as she was wined and dined by her future husband.
She captioned the clip: “I still can’t believe how perfect the moment was. A moment that felt just right. The calmest kind of yes”.
WHAT IS SHE DOING NOW?
A year ago, Rene Naylor announced her retirement as Springbok physio after 16 years of service.
Since then, she has continued to practice physiotherapy, lending her expertise to various companies, as well as speaking at professional talks and webinars.
Recently, she hosted her own series about her life and career on the YouTube channel Lead Like A Girl.
