Internship 1: HR System Analyst Intern

Introduction
The HR System Analyst Internship provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate in Information Systems, Data Science, or Computer Science to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and optimising Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The intern will assist in data analysis, workflow automation, reporting, and change management within Mintek’s HR division.
Key Focus Areas
1. HR Information Systems Optimisation
- Analyse and report on HRIS performance and optimisation needs.
- Assist with identifying business requirements and enhancing HR functionality.
- Support compliance with data protection legislation.
- Maintain and control user functionality levels in coordination with ICT.
2. Change Management
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and service providers regarding HRIS queries and enhancements.
- Support system upgrades, business process analysis, and user acceptance testing.
- Document changes and follow control procedures.
3. User Support
- Provide first-line system and technical support.
- Assist with user testing, explain system updates, and train users.
4. Workflow and Business Processes
- Identify and design effective HR workflows, focusing on automation.
- Participate in policy and procedure reviews related to HR systems.
5. Analytics and Reporting
- Develop dashboards and reports of key HR metrics.
- Maintain and present HR data to support people operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Honours Degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or Computer Science (Master’s degree preferable).
- Basic experience working with HR Information Systems.
- Understanding of business processes and HR data analytics.
- Project management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving ability.

Internship 2: Human Resource Intern

The Human Resource Internship offers graduates in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, selection, training administration, and bursary management within a scientific and research-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
- Administer and support the full recruitment process for junior positions.
- Conduct reference checks, schedule interviews, and manage applicant records.

Learning & Development
