About the Internship
The CIPC, an agency of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), is committed to developing young talent by offering structured internship opportunities that bridge the gap between academic learning and professional work experience.
This 24-month internship aims to provide graduates with practical experience in project management, allowing them to develop critical workplace skills and contribute meaningfully to national service delivery initiatives.
Internship Details
- Programme: Graduate Internship Programme (Project Management x4)
- Duration: 24 Months
- Location: Sunnyside Office, Pretoria
- Monthly Stipend: R12 000.00
- Reference Number: Project Management Intern x4
Successful candidates will be expected to sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement with CIPC.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Project Management
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
- Relevant coursework or certification (e.g. CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation) will be an added advantage
- Must be unemployed and have no prior work experience
- Must not have previously participated in any internship programme
Key Responsibilities
Interns will gain hands-on experience in:
- Supporting project planning, execution, and monitoring activities
- Assisting with project documentation and reporting
- Learning project management tools and software
- Collaborating with teams on internal and external projects
- Supporting the implementation of Agile or Waterfall methodologies
