One of South Africa’s most iconic weekly lifestyle magazines shows, Top Billing, is set to make a triumphant return to SABC 3, six years after it was cancelled in October 2019.
The show, synonymous with high-end living and glamour, will relaunch its regular season in March 2026.
The highly anticipated comeback was officially announced on Tuesday evening at a suitably luxurious event held at the Chefs Warehouse restaurant at the Tintswalo Atlantic hotel near Chapman’s Peak in Cape Town.

Our new chapter has begun!
In celebration of the return of Top Billing we have partnered with @CoronaAfrica to bring you a Top Billing Reunion Special on Thursday 27 November at 7pm on @SABC3.#Corona100 #ThisIsLiving #TopBilling #WeAreBack #BestOfTheGoodLife pic.twitter.com/3sf8kWQkaJ— Topbilling (@SABC3Topbilling) November 4, 2025
An exclusive gathering of 90 people, including several of the programme’s famous former presenters, attended a specially curated seven-course dinner, marking the announcement in true Top Billing style.
Spearheading the revival are the original executive producers, Patience Stevens and Basetsana Kumalo, who ran the show under the Tswelopele Productions banner. They will once again steer the programme, producing it this time as a Cardova Productions show alongside Bradley Balsamo Van Den Berg.
The grand return will actually kick off sooner than the regular season, with a special Top Billing reunion episode featuring several former presenters.
This one-off special is scheduled to air on Thursday, 27 November on SABC3, paving the way for the full weekly series starting in March 2026.
