Khama Billiat’s team Scottland FC have made their name in Zimbabwean football after being crowned the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions.
Scottland FC became only the second team in Zimbabwean history to win the league in their debut season. The remarkable feat matches the record set by Black Rhinos back in 1984.
Scottland FC crowned champions
The season debutants sealed their title in emphatic fashion on 2 November 2025. They thrashed Kwekwe United 5–1 in front of a packed home crowd.
Star forward Khama Billiat, who joined the club earlier this year, was among the scorers.
Goals from Tymon Machope, Ronald Pfumbidzai, and Tadiwa Chakuchichi added to the celebrations.
Sakupwanya’s ambitious project delivers instant success
The Harare-based side, owned by businessman and philanthropist Scott Sakupwanya, has been a model of consistency throughout the 2025 campaign.
Backed by strong financial support, Scottland FC quickly established itself as a formidable force in the league.
The team’s blend of experienced stars like Khama Billiat, Knowledge Musona and Ronald Pfumbidzai, alongside rising local talents, proved to be a winning formula.
Their attacking flair and solid defensive organisation saw them accumulate 65 points from 32 matches, clinching the title with two games to spare.
