Rosond Bursaries 2026

Rosond invites South African students to apply for the Rosond Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year

Bursary Application Closing Date: 16 November 2025

Bursary Location / Focus Area: South Africa (Undergraduate students in critical skills fields)

Rosond, a leading South African drilling and mining services company, is calling for applications from eligible students for its 2026 bursary programme. The bursary is aimed at supporting studies in critical and scarce skills areas needed in mining and related sectors.

This bursary is designed to help young South Africans access tertiary education, reduce financial pressure, and develop into future professionals in strategic disciplines such as engineering, geology, environmental management, and more. Rosond has stated that funding decisions will be based mainly on academic performance and financial need, following its internal and external bursary policy.

Fields of Study Covered by the Rosond Bursary

Bursaries will be awarded for full-time undergraduate studies in the following fields (scarce and critical skills identified by Rosond):

■ Data Science

■ Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)

■ Environmental Management

■ Finance

■ Geology

■ Human Resources

■ Information Technology

■ Mining

■ Occupational Health & Safety

■ Supply Chain

■ Technical Trades

These study areas align with skills that are in demand across South Africa’s mining and heavy industry value chain, and they reflect where Rosond expects future talent shortages.

What the Rosond Bursary Covers

  • The bursary provides funding for one academic year of study. Students will therefore need to reapply in future years if they require continued support.
  • Final allocation is based on a combination of strong academic results and verified financial need.
