South African selector DESIREE wraps up another global tour by bringing her event series, MMiNO, back home, on Saturday, 15 November 2025, at Club a.m. in Newtown, Johannesburg.
For this edition, MMiNO will feature London’s Hagan and local favourite Mr Fagwinter.
What began in Johannesburg’s underground in 2023 has now circled the globe. With stops in Kenya and Ibiza through 2024 and a major London show in May 2025, MMiNO marks its third year by returning home, where the journey first started.

Despite its international reach, the South African leg remains the soul of MMiNO. Known for its signature no-phone policy and focus on being fully present, the series continues to resonate with a global community.
Joining the lineup is UK/Ghanaian producer Hagan, whose percussion-rich style has deep roots in South African sounds, including a standout 2022 collaboration with amapiano star Aymos. Completing the bill is Joburg’s own Mr Fagwinter, bringing disco, house, and a strong sense of community.

For DESIREE, MMiNO’s return to South Africa is more than a tradition — it’s personal. “Every year, MMiNO comes home,” she says, reflecting on Johannesburg as the place where she first realized that “community is the heartbeat of dance culture” and where they “remember why we started.”
MMiNO will touch down in Cape Town for its final stop, wrapping the homecoming journey on Thursday, 8 January 2026.

ABOUT MMiNO
MMiNO, meaning music in siPedi, has grown from intimate club gatherings into a global movement celebrated for its energy, inclusivity, and cultural depth. The series has expanded to include London, Kenya, and Ibiza, and now returns to South Africa to continue its exploration of sound, identity, and ritual. With its no-phone dancefloor policy, MMiNO invites audiences to be fully present, an embodiment of DESIREE’s philosophy that music is both a spiritual and communal act. The Johannesburg show will serve as the first in a two-part homecoming, followed by MMiNO Cape Town on 8 January 2026.
ABOUT DESIREE
Recently named one of Mixmag’s “Top 25 DJs Who Defined 2024” and a nominee for BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the Year, DESIREE continues to elevate South African electronic music onto the global stage. Her performances at Panorama Bar, Glastonbury Festival, fabric London, and Coachella 2025 have cemented her as an ambassador of house music’s emotional and cultural resonance. Through MMiNO, DESIREE continues to cultivate a platform for connection, a space where music, identity, and spirit meet on the dancefloor.
ABOUT HAGAN
After an incredible set at MMiNO London in May, Hagan arrives in Johannesburg with the charged, drum-driven energy that’s made him one of the UK underground’s most exciting DJs. His sound, built on rhythm and diaspora influence, lands in a city that has quietly inspired it all along. Raised in South London with Ghanaian roots, the self-proclaimed percussion obsessive channels church djembe beginnings into a sound that spans afrotech, gqom, highlife, 3-step, and UK funky. His DJ Mag-nominated debut Textures on Python Syndicate caught the attention of BBC Radio 1, NTS, and Rinse FM, while his Soulection project Good Food showcased his ability to fuse live instrumentation with electronic production.
