About the Apprenticeship
This structured programme provides a blend of theoretical learning and practical on-site training, designed to equip participants with the knowledge and technical skills required to qualify as Artisans in Mechanical and Electrical Fitting.
Apprentices will work alongside qualified technicians while attending approved training sessions, ensuring full exposure to industry standards, safety protocols, and hands-on repair and maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified Fitters and Electrical Fitters in the maintenance, installation, and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Participate in routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
- Attend both theoretical and practical training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science.
- N2 Certificate or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (advantageous).
- Must pass internal competency tests.
- Provide proof of residential address (Lekwa area preferred).
- South African Youth under the age of 35 will be given preference.
