LIVE SCORING | World Cup: Proteas Women v England

The whole of South Africa will unite behind the Proteas Women on Wednesday as they look to defy the odds by beating England – the team that thrashed them in the tournament opener – and book their place in the Cricket World Cup title decider.

After that early hiccup in the tournament, the Proteas Women have been in fine form, and will be hoping that they can produce the goods when it matters most.

Their World Cup semi-final gets underway from 11:30 (SA time) on Wednesday.

Proteas Women captain Laura Wolvaardt said it would be crucial for the team to show composure under pressure.

“I think for me it will be just about keeping everyone as calm as possible,” Wolvaardt told reporters.

“I think the calmest team out there will most likely win. I think 50 overs is a very long time and it is very easy to let the pressure of a semi-final get to you.”
