About the Actom Bursary
The bursary supports studies towards engineering qualifications and aims to develop scarce skills for South Africa’s power and manufacturing sectors.
Fields of Study
- Electrical Engineering (BEng / BSc)
- Industrial Engineering (BEng / BSc)
- Mechanical Engineering (BEng / BSc)
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Be in Matric (Grade 12) or have completed Matric.
- Be studying or intending to study one of the fields above.
- Be accepted to study (or studying) at a recognised and accredited SA tertiary institution.
Documents to Include (Certified where indicated)
- South African ID (certified)
- Grade 11 final & Matric June results (if in Matric) (certified)
- Matric certificate (if completed) (certified)
- Full academic record to date (if at university) (certified)
- Fees statement & financial requirements from the institution
- Proof of address (certified)
- Parents/guardians proof of income (latest payslips / affidavit if unemployed / SASSA grant or pension, if applicable)
