Following the Old Age Grant payments, the Disability Grant will be issued on Wednesday, 5 November, offering essential relief to individuals living with disabilities. This grant enables recipients to manage their daily needs and access crucial services.
Meanwhile, the Children’s Grants will be paid out on Thursday, 6 November, assisting vulnerable families in providing food, education, and healthcare for their children.
SASSA urged all recipients to plan their visits to payment points carefully to reduce congestion and enhance safety.
SAPS Urges Vigilance During Payout Period
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has warned beneficiaries to be cautious during payout periods to prevent theft and fraud.
“We urge the public to remain vigilant during times of payout and to protect their personal and payment information,” SAPS said in a statement.
Police advised beneficiaries to safeguard their SASSA cards and PINs, avoid sharing personal details with strangers, and steer clear of ATMs in poorly lit areas. They also recommended that recipients collect their grants with family or friends and report suspicious activity immediately.
SAPS further encouraged the community to use the Crime Stop number (08600 10111) or the SASSA fraud hotline (0800 601 011) to report any concerns.
