Operating under the theme “Champions of Storytelling,” the show has become one of South Africa’s most watched dramas, reflecting national issues and serving as a launchpad for local talent.
Helga Palmer, Head of Local Programming at e.tv, credited the milestone to “loyal viewers, talented cast and crew,” celebrating the show’s authentic South African storytelling.
The series has won multiple SAFTA Awards for Best Soapie and writing. Executive Producer Stan Joseph confirmed the team’s ongoing commitment to “authentic, relatable, and dramatic television.”
Looking ahead, Scandal! plans to introduce new characters and heightened dramatic tension to refresh the long-running narrative.
The show airs every weekday at 7:30 PM.
