In video clips that have been doing the rounds on social media, an incredible escape appears to have played out as a large male lion jumped off a moving vehicle while in transit near Lichtenburg in the North West.
The Lion can be seen clamouring to the top of the the trailer before taking a wild leap, and crash landing on the road before wandering off seemingly uninjured.
Although many users questioned the veracity of the video, another clip also appeared on Facebook, which seemingly showed the same lion walking next to a fence alongside the road.
According to some reports on the incident, it’s stated that the lion was later recaptured safely and transported to its destination in a more secure manner.
