A former MAFS UK cast member has shared which 2025 bride and groom they think are heading towards a couple swap, given their expertise in the experiment.
Every year there is at least one relationship which ends in a bride or groom cracking on with someone else’s partner. Once the couples move into the shared apartments and attend the dinner parties, they really get an idea of what’s going on in everyone else’s matches. And a lot of the time, they see things that are missing in their own partnership, which they could get elsewhere. It’s arguably the best drama MAFS provides.
There has already been one rumoured couple swap for the 2025 series, but now a former cast member has shared what they think we have coming up. They’ve seen the experiment first hand, so they know what to look out for!
Adrian Sanderson, who appeared on series seven in 2022, has shared his theory on TikTok. He said a game the cast members played gave away a huge sign. “Are Julia-Ruth and Steven going to be this year’s affair? Because there’s always one,” he noted. It’s true!

He added: “In the sh*g, marry, avoid thing, she chose Steven and she doesn’t want anyone to know she’s having sex with her husband. Last week, they were having murders at the dinner party, screaming across the room at each other and she’s criticising all of this sh*tty behaviour and now she wants to marry him.
“But you don’t want anyone to know you’re having sex with this guy and I think that this includes the couples and the audience. Don’t you think Steven is a really odd choice for her to choose?”.
Adrian then dropped hard evidence this is clue. He noted former couple swap, Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes, were found out because they admitted they fancied each other in a similar way. “This is how the affair came out,” Adrian said. “In the sh*g, marry avoid game.” Adrian said it’s just his theory, and said: “I’m trying to make sense of it and my sense is that she’s having an affair with Steven.”
Obviously, nothing has actually happened right now, but now I’ll be keeping my eye on these two like a hawk!
