19-year-old Mfundo Vilakazi believes his experience with the U20 side in South America stands him in good stead for the remainder of the league season.

“Chile was great, even though we were knocked out in the last 16 [by Colombia]. We gained invaluable experience, and I plan to use it here at the team,” Vilakazi told the Kaizer Chiefs website

Mfundo ‘Obrigado’ Vilakazi claimed two assists in a 5-0 win over New Caledonia in the group stages. He also slotted a penalty in the Round of 16 defeat to Colombia. However, for Chiefs, he’s hardly had a look-in this term. The teenager has only played 73 minutes across all competitions this season, all as a substitute.
