About the Opportunity
The Department of Employment and Labour is offering 454 permanent posts for UIF Client Service Officers in different Labour Centres and Satellites within Mpumalanga. This is a re-advertisement, meaning that applicants who previously applied must re-apply.
Successful candidates will earn a salary of R269 499 per annum, and will be responsible for providing quality customer service, processing UIF claims, and performing administrative duties to support the operations of the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF).
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
- Experience: 0–6 months relevant experience
- Knowledge of:
- Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations
- Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
- Treasury Regulations and Batho Pele Principles
- UIF and Departmental policies, procedures, mission, and values
- Customer Care principles
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Computer literacy
- Listening and interpretation (UIF Act and Contributions Act)
- Time and conflict management
- Customer relations and telephone etiquette
- Analytical and interpersonal abilities
- On-the-job training in operational systems
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide screening services for clients
- Process applications for UIF benefits
- Register payment continuation forms
- Perform administrative and clerical functions to support Labour Centre operations
