Season 3 of the popular Mzansi Magic reality TV show Short & Sweet is set to premiere on Thursday, 6 November at 8PM.

Back with bold stories and unforgettable personalities, Short & Sweet season 3 follows six dynamic individuals as they navigate love, family, and identity in a world that often overlooks them.

This is what viewers can expect:

Thandazani Kubheka (31)

His life has taken a dramatic turn, forcing him to re-evaluate his priorities and learn to respect his work the hard way. After believing polygamy was the key to happiness, Thandazani now realizes he’s been searching for something he can’t even name. Will he find his footing and redefine his path?

Vuyokazi ‘Vovo’ Grace Nguqu (40)

Shehas always been the loudest in the room, the undisputed centre of attention, the one whose presence could fill a space before she even opened her mouth. But this season, it’s about Vovo finally facing the person behind the performance. Can she own her pain, make peace with her past, and become something more than the mask she wears?

Zandile Cele (29)

Zanele has realised that being a Sangoma is one thing, becoming a Gobela is another. This season, her journey is about elevation, not just in her spiritual calling, but in every corner of her life. To train others as Sangomas, she says she needs to completely transform which means cutting back on alcohol, checking her attitude, and stepping fully into the responsibility of leadership.

He is fighting on many fronts this season.  Last season, the drama between his parents put him in the middle of a cultural conflict that he could never fully escape. There’s also a storm brewing in the Maskandi space, and his name’s right in the middle of it. A fellow artist claims that he is getting booked not for talent but for sympathy and he wants to face this beef head on and showcase that he is indeed talented.

New faces on the show:

Tebogo Shayi (31)

He takes one thing really seriously: commitment to his woman, his family and the future he wants to build. He recently lost his job as a data capturer, and is now back on the grind, networking and doing all he can to get back on his feet. He has started paying lobola and his dream is to move out and build a home for his family.

Dimakatso Mathekga (31) 

She is a proud mother of two who has finally realised that some doors need to stay closed, specifically her relationship with the father of her children because the relationship is ‘toxic’. She is looking to find love and acceptance, closure by asking her previous lover questions that will enable her to finally be able to move on.
