Just in time as Bafana Bafana gear up for the 2026 World Cup, adidas is stepping in as the new kit sponsor, replacing Le Coq Sportif when its contract ends in December 2025.
This is according to a new report by renowned outlet Footy Headlines, which indicates that the adidas sponsorship will kickstart from 01 January 2026.
It also adds that the adidas x South Africa kit deal is ‘finalized‘ with the new kits to roll out as early as January 2026.
With this deal, adidas takes over as kit sponsor for both Bafana and Banyana.
In a no-love-lost breakup, the South African Football Association (SAFA) has also come forward, announcing the end of their five-year partnership.
Le Coq’s deal with SAFA came to play in 2020, just before COVID-19 hit.
Meanwhile, adi has done this dance before, having handled SAFA kits from 1998 to 2011.
