Euro derision
KEIR Starmer refuses to even contemplate quitting the ECHR to stop the boats and protect Britain’s borders.
He thinks he can persuade European leaders it can be “reformed” instead.

Keir Starmer’s hopes of reforming the ECHR were shattered as a top Eurocrat warned Britain’s own laws could now breach its rules[/caption]
Yesterday, that was exposed as a fantasy.
In a typically arrogant outburst, Council of Europe commissioner Michael Flaherty said a recent UK Supreme Court ruling to treat women by their biological sex, NOT gender identity, could break ECHR laws.
It’s yet another example of overreach by a high-handed institution which thinks it can still dictate to Britain.
Top legal expert Lord Sumption believes the ECHR can never be reformed because the Court makes up the law as it goes along.
Only by quitting it entirely would Britain ever be free of the human rights and privacy madness it enshrines, helping illegal migrants and foreign criminals to fight deportation.
The question for the Prime Minister is this: Who does he think decides the law?
Britain’s Supreme Court? Its elected Parliament? Or unaccountable meddlers in Strasbourg?
Not working
LABOUR, the party of the workers, has created a jobs crisis where fewer are in work than at any time since the pandemic.
Unemployment is at a four-year high thanks chiefly to the epically stupid National Insurance rise.
An unwelcome pattern in the economy is now forming. Fewer jobs, lower pay and sickness benefits rates soaring at 5,000 per day.
More job-destroying tax rises on the way.
Meanwhile, the IMF says inflation in Britain — already the highest among the G7 economies — will get even higher as growth flatlines.
That throws Rachel Reeves’ chances of raising living standards for ordinary families into massive doubt.
Labour should ditch the tax rises planned for next month’s Budget.
And slash ballooning public spending instead of doing all it can to protect it.
Soft touch
WHY, when the country is broke, is so much public money being spent making life comfortable for migrants who we want to kick OUT?
Why are we providing art classes and IT lessons for people who are in the process of being deported?
It’s not the Government’s responsibility to improve the life chances of those with no right to remain here.
This shocking waste of taxpayers’ cash — part of a contract worth £260MILLION — comes from a soft-touch Home Office culture that demands illegal migrants be cosseted at every turn.
