A TRAVELLER girl has revealed the truth about whether women in her community are allowed to work.
Travellers often have more traditional values, with kids often leaving school early and getting married young.

Zoe, 20, who got married at 18 and recently gave birth to a son, often shares insights into the traveller community on her TikTok page.
And in a recent video, she answered a question from a social media user, who asked whether she would support any future daughters if they wanted to have a career.
In her response, Zoe revealed that “years ago”, all traveller women did was stay at home to look after their children, cook and clean.
However, she added that as well as doing all of this, some women now choose to work.
“It is more common nowadays for a traveller girl to work”, she said.
Zoe explained that the kind of work that traveller women do most commonly is doing people’s hair, makeup, injecting lip filler, or selling stuff online.
“But they wouldn’t work in a Post Office or a bank or anything like that”, she added.
“Because no one’s going to hire them.”
She added that traveller men also tend to work for themselves rather than for big companies.
Zoe then went on to say that she and other travellers now wouldn’t have a problem if they’re children told them they wanted to work.
“Years ago they would have had a problem with it, but nowadays, all travellers work”, she said.
In a previous video, Zoe hit back at trolls who say she is too young to have a husband.
The traveller revealed that she had to keep her boyfriend a secret when she was a teenager, as girls in the travelling community are not allowed to be in relationships.
Then, when she was 17, her boyfriend asked her parents if he could marry her.
Her parents agreed to the union, and just two weeks later, Zoey was married.
“I know what you’re all going to say, ‘you got married at 18 years of age, that’s very young’, but in my culture, it’s actually not young”, she revealed in a TikTok video.
She revealed that at her age, it is not uncommon for a woman to already have three or four children.
“I think I got married at a good age, because I wasn’t too young, and I wasn’t too old”, she said.
