SHOPPERS will be forced to make other plans as HomeGoods is the latest store to announce it will close its doors for 24 hours over the holidays.
The retailer has confirmed it will shut down all 952 stores alongside the thousands of other sister stores on Thanksgiving.

The 3729 stores that fall under the TJX family umbrella will give workers 24 hours off to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with their families.
Retail brands closing include TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra and Homesense, leaving bargain hunters waiting to get their festive fix.
Stores will reopen the day after Thanksgiving, as shoppers fight for the best Black Friday prices.
HomeGoods won’t be the only stores locking up shop for the holiday.
“Similar to years gone by, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Sierra and Homesense will also be closed on Thursday November 28, before reopening on Friday,” a representative for the company told The U.S. Sun.
“We consider ourselves an associate-friendly company”.
“We are pleased to give our associates the time to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends.”
Other retailers across the US are following the same trend, giving all their workers the day to celebrate.
Hobby Lobby has also given the green light to shut all 1000 stores on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Stores will reopen the day after Thanksgiving with extended Black Friday hours.
Doors will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., giving customers plenty of time to shop.
Regular hours will stay the same for the rest of the season.
Hobby Lobby is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m..
Stores are famously closed on Sundays, a long-standing company tradition.
On Christmas Eve, shoppers can expect standard opening hours.
Stores will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. as usual .The same hours will apply to Boxing Day, giving people a chance to shop post-Christmas.
Best Buy was the third retailer to announce the closure of all 1000 stores for 24 hours over Thanksgiving.
The electronics giant confirmed it will also close its doors nationwide on Thanksgiving Day.
The move reflects a wider trend in retail, as more companies close their doors on Thanksgiving after years of early Black Friday chaos.
For a decade, major chains including Walmart and Target launched Black Friday deals early, opening on Thanksgiving night.
But since 2020, most have reversed that strategy, opting to stay closed instead.
