The full statement read: “Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide, and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic. The contract ended on August 14, 2025, and the player has now appointed people he can trust.”
SunSport understands that Caicedo will now be represented by his brothers, and that while Ali Barat and Epic Sports brokered his move from Brighton to Chelsea for £115m, they were never his personal agents.
The post on his Instagram has now been taken down, but Caicedo insists there was no malicious intent towards his previous representatives.
Caicedo is the youngest of seven brothers and has two sisters. While he did not live with all of them as a child, as many had grown up and moved out before he was born, they often reconvened to visit their parents.
The four brothers he lived with had a big impact on his footballing career and the man he became from Ecuador.
He told the Chelsea website in December 2024: “My brothers went without food to buy boots for me, and that is something I always keep in my mind.
“My Mum didn’t have stable work, so she would sell soap, sell flowers when it was Valentine’s Day. Things like that to help us. My Dad would work as someone who would help shoppers with their bags.”

And after being instrumental in the Blues’ Club World Cup and Conference League trophy lifts last season, he’s leading by example in terms of his stats this season.
He’s made more tackles (28) than any other player in the Premier League, and more interceptions (18) than anyone else, too, while also being Chelsea’s joint leading Premier League goalscorer, alongside Enzo Fernandez with three goals each.
To add to that, he’s only been booked once this season, making just seven fouls as such a mobile and combative midfielder.
